    If it was bought in a fraudulent manner which he states the person who "bought" the gold did then it would have been charged back. So he wouldn't have the $400.

    Cant think of any scenario where a simple 400.00 is worth credit and possible legal issues? Chalk it up as a loss pull the 400.00 back into paypal that you took off and move on with life and make smarter decisions in the future.

    I recommend ringing them up or emailing them to get the full story behind the negative balance, then try to sort it out from there.

    Pay it or get it resolved, don't ignore it. It can come back to damage your credit record as PayPal will authorise a third party debt collector to chase you down for it. Not paying is fraud.
