Laptop Suggestions

I'm looking to buy a new laptop soon, and don't have any ideas about what good/bad ones are. I currently have a Lenovo Thinkpad T430s, and it was a good, solid laptop, but I wasn't a big fan of the design.

It should be able to play games like LoL on high settings comfortably... not really any other requirements, as that will probably be the most CPU/GPU intensive thing I'll be doing. Any suggestions are appreciated

Origin has some really nice ready to ship laptops or you can build your own. Pretty expensive though.

Thanks guys - those all look really nice but probably out of my price range (should have specified that in my first post, sorry). At the moment not looking to spend more than $1300, but that might be subject to change so I'll keep your suggestions in mind, thanks

 

Lenovo is a solid brand in general. I'm on my second lenovo ever right now and it's heavy but it handles things just fine even for being a few years old. Stay away from sticker brands like alienware obviously and go to your local electronics store and ask them for an opinion. Try not to go to a salesman in the laptop department either, if possible find someone in a components area (where they sell CPUs, drives, etc. They're often much more educated than the prebuild salesmen.

 

If you want sleek looks and productivity then Mac. Their quality is very good and has high standards. I have one and it runs LoL perfectly with 5k graphics display. It looks very nice in full screen.
If it is too expensive, Lenovo is a good alternative.

I'm happy with my Lenovo Y40-80, but if you're in the US that's like half your budget. I'd check out some of their gaming laptops if you want to spend the full 1300. The Y50 I hear is pretty damn good.

 

MSI. Nuff said.

 

Defiantly msi, you can't beat their dollar to performance ratio anywhere in the market...
