Need Help Transfering A Name

I was wondering how do you transfer a xbox name because im going to buy one very soon. thank you very much

 

The simplest way to swap a gamertag from account to account is just to add a minimum of 800 Microsoft Points on each tag. Change the name on the account with the name you want onto your other account, then change the name of your other account to it.

Make sure not to tell anyone you're swapping your gamertag, and do it late at night. Another thing to remember is wait around a week or so if you have a bought a very good gamertag (ESPECIALLY if you paid $75 or more for it) before you swap it, or else someone might turbo your tag.

Also. When sawping there could be a point when the GT you just swaped itent avaibel to be taken yet.

MS states "Once a gamer-tag is changed it then is idel for anyone to have but could take up to 45 Days for this specific Gamertag to be available for the Public".

Note- This probably rearley happens but once i heard this kinda is a scary process tho knowing something you paid for you might not ever be able to get.
