Need help running RSBot on Ubuntu 10.04TS

I downloaded the .JAR file off of the website but it won't run. I even installed a program to treat JAR files as executables in the Ubuntu Software Center but it doesn't work, it keeps opening it up as an archive. Can someone please just teach me how to run this bot under Ubuntu 10.04TS? Thanks a lot

 

I can't remember the name of the program, but there's this thing where you can run XP or Mac through a separate program. Like, a window into another operating system. You could try to find that.

Sorry if this is somewhat incoherent, I may or may not have smoked a little something before sitting down. But I know for a fact that the program exists, if anyone can help me out on this.

 

why not use a vps?

 

You need to right click the .jar and go to properties then click the permissions tab then check "Mark as executiable"

then it'll open. If not, Install both jre and jdk then it'll run.
