Need help, mum suffered from minor stroke

My mom was sent to the hospital after she couldn't move her other leg (don't remember which side it was) and she could barely move and needs assistance all of the time. It happened really fast because on Sunday she was just fine and the next day in the morning she said she doesn't feel good and her one side of leg feels weaker. As far as I know minor strokes are temporary and will just be gone in weeks or maybe months but I am quite worried that it might affect her whole life, because if she stays longer than that I don't think it's "minor stroke" anymore, she can still speak properly but she just feels weak.

What do you think? is this a minor stroke or not? Also the cause of her stroke was from high blood pressure and that kind of thing is in their family so basically even some of her siblings are very prone to that. This is quite sad for me since my mom was about to start a new business then this happens, I also have a sister-in-law whom I really hate so much, I saw her messages to our house helper (through FB) and she said my mom's business is never going to happen because of what happened to her and other things that are negative. I'm sorry if I sound a little overreacting but this isn't something that happened to me in the past so this is the first time.

Sorry to hear what has happened to your mother, hope she recovers soon, try calming yourself and wait for the results from the hospital, as for your sister in law, try not to let her negativity influence you too much, stay positive for your mother and make sure you convey this positive attitude when you visit her.

I can understand why you don't like your sister-in-law, jeez. I'd go with Rosed's advice. I'm sure freaking out won't help and I think maintaining a calm attitude while with her relaxes her aswell. After all there's not much you can do, besides being there for her.

    Update:

Okay phew. I came to visit her in the hospital and she's coming out tomorrow hopefully but she's still not able to move her right arm and leg properly. A few therapy session for it and I'm certain she's going to be fine again. :)

Also the reason why I hate my sister-in-law is quite a long story, I had only visit my mom in the hospital once since my mom and our house helper are the one who is looking after her and it was just today, she (my sister-in-law) told me that I look like I don't care about my mom which really pissed the shit out of me.
