    Need help fixing my car.

Pretty recently I acquired a 71 Plymouth Barracuda in meh shape. It has had an issue of the water pump bursting and I have already gone through 2 of them trying different things. I've posted on a bunch of forums and figured I'd ask here if anyone had any suggestions. Swapped engine with a 440 and other modifications but it revs too high and the water pump keeps bursting. I even got a dual core radiator and a Mopar Performance water pump and that pump burst as well :/ . Any suggestions/ideas?

Reving too high at idle or in general? Either way, that 100% sounds carb-related. Pull the carbs and clean them out, or maybe rebuild them depending on how they look.

As for the water pump issue, I have no idea. I'd swing by your local mechanic and ask if he has any input & perhaps pickup a shop manual. Bursting makes me think the pressure is too high, but I'm not sure what would cause that.
