Need help about my broken jaw.

So yeah, I got into car accident around 36hours before, my jaw was broken and kinda fucked my arm, but arm isnt big deal, they got me metal shit in my mouth and I have to keep it for 1 and half month. It even hurts when I swallow my spittle, I don't even talk about any food(some milk shakes) I have to eat those with straw for 1 and half month!!!!! Im very pissed at the moment, and need any tips to make the hurt less while eating or swalloning anything. Please help!!! =|

 

Well slurpees are great for hydrating yourself, you should also invest in a blender perhaps. You can blend almost anything, and you never know it may be interesting making all sorts of shakes and purees for yourself.

 

Are you srsly kidding me about this line, want to try eating milk or juice for 2 months? I already lost 5kgs in 3 days cause of this bs. And I have a blender.

I was at hospital for 2 days and they didn't give a shit about me, they were like, sooo milk and juice shakes for 2 months then you come and we will remove the shit from your mouth. I was like wtf............... And they also told me I need to get around 3,000 calories, from what, from fucking milk or what. SRSLY! Im so pissed, im looking if someone also had same kind of injury so they could give me some advice :sick:

What bone did you exactly break? What does your injury consist of?

 

Would be very nice from your side, ask her what would be best way to eat and what kind of food, cause I can't live with only milk and juice shakes. I broke my down jaw, they got me metal parts in mouth to keep my mouth shut. Looks something like this but its connected to my upper jaw too.

Theres unfortunately nothing you can really do.

Make sure to keep hydrated, and get the sufficient vitamins and nutrients in order for your body to allocate resources and minimize you recovery time.

If you want to subside the pain you receive from swallowing, consume something that will form a thick layer around your throat, and thus reducing the pain.
I would HIGHLY recommend some 'Slippery Elm', or a drink of sorts, ask a nurse or pharmacist.

Other than that, only time will heal you until you can eat solid food. I'd be kicking myself if I were in your situation, it sucks bro.

 

The main thing is, I had my all time planned, whole summer and shit. Almost had my drivers license and now I have to start it over, cause I can't even walk cause it hurts. And all that cause of some shitty accident, I can trully say now fuck my life.
