Hey,
Recently, after installing my new ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, When playing Runescape HD, there is frequent flickers, and animations seem to stretch themselves. I tried taking a screenie, but for some reason it could'nt see them in the screenshot. They flicker on for about 1/2 a sec, then go.
It ONLY happened after installing the 'ATI Catalyst Control Center'...

HELP!

Err.. if you don't get the flickers/whatever when you press print screen maybe check your monitor/check if the monitor is connecting to the video card properly.

Are the animations shapes your seeing?

If they are, have you done any overclocking? Flickering and artifacts are sure signs of a card overclocked too much.

Possibly this 'ATI Catalyst Control Center' automatically overclocked it? I'd disable it.

i have a question
i'm new..
and i dont know wat a leecher is...

Are your drivers up to date?

Yes, they are the latest.

I'm unsure, What is overclocking? O.o

Overclocking is forcing a piece of computer hardware to run at a higher speed than it was originally designed for. Intel's E8400 Core 2 Duo (Normally ~3.0GHz) is great for overclocking, and many people overclock it to 4.00GHz. This can lead to, obviously, faster processors but also instability, heat (from the hardware). Same concept with Video Cards. If you don't know how to overclock, there's a high chance it isn't [overclocked].

Well either way you might just have a bad video card. If money isn't a problem, look into getting a specialist out to your house to check it out.

Perhaps your screen refresh rate is off, do u have the new LCD screens or the old box ones (CRT)?

Lol I'm starting to think that your 9700pro is just old, or a dud card. Do you know the temperatures that you're getting? Too high of temperatures may cause artifacts on the screen.

Go into the ATI CC, and modify the settings so it is about medium, or you could delete the program itself.
I found that it sucks, and doesn't help for shit.
