Need f2p pking advice

Ok, I have a monk pker (31 pray, 72 str) that am thinking of converting into a range/melee pker. I was gonna do the range 2h thing, but i heard there was an update that killed doing this technique.

1. What is this update that was mentioned

2. Should i become a ranger/melee hybrid?

get range as high as yo ucan untill yoru combat changes,

then while ur fighting think ahead 1 atttak then switch to 2h right b4 u shoot to K0 opp
