A simple investing tool

Not something I use personally, but I was discussing this with a friend of mine today who has an account with Betterment:

It seems like a very easy tool to use for those looking to dabble in investing. So check it out - let me know what you find

 

Seems like a decent tool for people who have no desire to learn anything on their own. With a tiny bit of effort, you could achieve better results by avoiding their fees and essentially doing the same thing that they do.

I also just tried out filling in my basic info on their home page, and got some quite weird results:
"Invest long-term with a target of $7,528,000 for an annual retirement income of $286,726. This can be a regular investment account, or an IRA account."
No way in hell I have a desire or need to save that much for retirement.

and yeah, i was thinking of fiddling around with this a bit this weekend. not that i really plan to invest with them, mostly just to see what they offer.
