need advice on finding a job...

I am sorry if this would better belong in the personal support section... i didnt know exactly where to put this.

    but anyway...

Now that I am out of college for the summer, I NEED a job.

Long story short: I would prefer a job for a privately owned business...something chill like a pool store, or video store or something. I have specific preference because i smoke weed and dont want to stop to get a job for summer. I would highly prefer a privately owned/local business because they tend to not drug test like bigger corporations and nationwide/chain stores.

The problem is: what is the most efficient way to find a job like this? There are websites that help by listing jobs available with some companies but the problem is that they are always large corporations/chains (the things i dont want).
Should i just basically walk/drive around going door to door to the privately owned places and ask if their hiring? or does someone know of a site that will list these small, local places? or any other tactic?

any advice on finding a pot-friendly job would be great. I dont really need to know the types of places that will hire me, i need to know how to find them and get hired their....

also dont say something like "just stop smoking weed" because that will be considered spam and does not help at all.

    thanks.

Local grocerys and restaurants is your best bet; places like those are always hiring for the summer.

If you're 19, you can get a job at Olive Garden. No drug testing and you make about 400 a week full time + whatever you snag on tips. My girlfriends brother works for them and he's always buying weed from me so I know he gets good money.

Check around at local shops, remember small buissness's are better for hours and you will most likely get more pay.

Food is a great place to look if you can't get drug tested, I'm working at a local bakery this summer.

The hours are less demanding and the owner is a nice guy, I'm happy to work for him.

Honestly would recommend checking this site out - http://www.g4s.com

Alot of the jobs (atleast in the UK) are simple and easy to apply for. I know a good few people that have found jobs from that site.
