Need a second opinion

I have been shopping around online for a decent laptop for school, and was wondering if a 14” laptop with 4gb of ram is a decent one?? Thoughts please

 

Does your school work require anything in particular?

What laptop brands/models have you been currently looking at?

 

I’ve been looking at a lot of HP mainly. And I’m getting my MBA.. so I just need something sort of reliable.. I’m not too tech savvy, which is the reason why I posted this thread, but I’m open to all suggestions

 

What's your major? For Comp. Science students, they should try at the bare minimum get the best laptop they can afford.

Engineering students also rely heavily on computers (In Dubai), not sure if they don't rely on computers in your country.

Med students usually use the computers for research/studying purposes so a "not so cheap" computer must be bought.

You should post your budget, from there you/we can build a computer tbh.

 

I'm not really trying to build a computer. But my budget is around $800-$1000. I'm getting my Master's in Business Administration.

 

My current computer for work is "HP Laptop 15-db0xx" can recommend it.

I do have some burner laptops but they are barely to recommend. If I remember right it was around 500-600€, depending on where you are from I could get it for you cheaper, new - unused original package. The laptop can do all the work I ask him for, programming on it hasn't been a problem either yet.

 

Try to increase the amount of ram you have

modern programs are ram intensive, would have 8gb to be safe
