There's just things I don't understand. Why wasn't it out on the name request thread as a scammer? Like I wouldn't have bought it if it was a scammed name at all.

 

Haven't a clue who nobody reported the name as owned by Ryan. I've known Adventure was Ryan for quite some time now, as have other users on this thread, however as I had no physical proof, I had no way to get him banned.

I did indeed. But Bonesack also bought some names from Ryan then if that's the honest case.

 

That's really a shame, let's just hope we can get Ryan banned asap.

 

I was not aware that the user Adventure was Ryan when I transacted with him. I found out shortly after when I inquired as to the history of the names I purchased from a few other users and that's when I was informed who it was. I didn't have sufficient proof, much like KLucius, to get him banned.

 

I probably have the info to be able to get him banned, even though I'm bound to lose the name and am out the money.

 

I'm sorry for your loss. I know the feeling, obviously. I never spend money on a name I'm not willing to lose. The name trading community is a very sensitive one. That's why you only deal with reputable users, people who have a history of consistent legitimacy proven through vouches/etc. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Wartortle is a name worth more than twice what you paid. And in regards to your comments about the status of the Name Request Thread, it is run by Josh and he is only one person. There are hundreds of names listed, and thousands more actively traded that haven't made their way to the OP. It's simply too much for one person to actively maintain to the degree people expect. I'm thankful for the available information, despite it not always being necessarily up to date. Josh does so out of the kindness of his heart, and no one should berate him about it.
