Name change not working?

I've been trying to use the name change function on the RS website all day and I can't get it to work. It either says every name is available (Even 'a' 'b' etc.) then when I go to change it it says it's not, or gives me a 404 page not found image.

If the above doesn't happen, it just says "Could not check name at this time" and then goes to 404 page not found.

Happening for anyone else? Tried on two different internet sources and still not working.

 

It's because of the name release and the amount of traffic on the system. All you can do is wait or try the in-game system of changing your name (not sure if it's available on Rs07 but you could log in to Rs3 to use it there).

 

Change your name in game, not the website.

 

Yeah I guess your best bet is in game as on the website after you try a few times it gets really laggy and gives you the 404 error.
