Dave the thief/scammer

About a week ago Dave made a report and requested a payment for work he did before he stole my business. As you can read there was an agreement that he would not start his own business else I wouldn't have given him my contacts.

In my opinion the least he can do is refund the payments for work he did while he was working with me. He worked with me for about a month and wasn't online much, grabbed a few large trades ($50+ profit each) from my customers and then decided to take everything leaving me with nothing.

I would like to know your opinion about this case.

 

It's pretty shitty, but that's business for you.. If there is no written agreement then you can't really do much about a "business" you own.

 

First off if you want an opinion on something you shouldn't be so biased about it with the title as Dave the thief and scammer. Secondly I thought Roary had handled the whole situation and both of you came to an agreement about the whole thing?

 

I think the entire way you handled this is very unprofessional moes. Unless something new has came up this should have been dealt with in the original report.

 

If the consensus between the two of you were that he should not start his own business after you gave him those contacts, then he shouldn't. But because there was no contract, he isn't obligated to follow those orders under any circumstance other than moral code. The least he can do is refund you if he's going to take over your business using the same contacts you shared with him. It's undeniable that his position had a significant influence on the outcome of this case. I believe if it were anyone else who isn't in a position of power on this site, a refund would have been the chosen compromise if that person proceeded to start their own business with your contacts. Also, assassinating his character won't help the situation at all.

 

This is exactly my point I feel like Moes is just trying to make Dave look bad at this point and or attempting to just get some restitution out of the whole thing and looking for some cash.

 

I had to make an agreement but that doesn't mean that I'm happy with the outcome of the scam report. I still think Dave has abused his position of trust and I want to know other opinions about this case.

Oh and what was unprofessional? Should I have paid him for what he did and should I have accepted that he took everything. Explanation please.

 

Posting this after everything have been brought to the table amounts to little more than a smear campain

 

So yes you may be unhappy but the decision has been made my an admin. Does that make this anything more than a smear campaign? What are you gaining by making this thread other than a backdoor attempt to hurt Daves reputation?
