My updated predicament.

Some of you saw my earlier thread about not being able to recover my hacked account.

Since it contains vital information that could be used to take my identity and make false purchases, I promptly told the hacker about pressing charges.

LOL, he went into an e-corner. He didn't want to get in trouble.

As a matter of fact, he gave me my account back, and I told him if anything suspicious happens, he will have viruses on his computer. (I got his I.P.!)

 

Why not just edit your old post?

Lumentec, I could press charges since it has a recurring CC number.
He also stole that information, technically. Ever hear the story about the kid who got his account stolen and his parent had a shitload of false and messed up charges.

I wouldn't call the cops though.

 

Yeah, you could press charges if you went to a court.

But, if you called the cops, I doubt they'd do much besides give you an "It's okay" pat on the back.

 

Technically you could only press charges if he used it not if he simply had it?

Also I have never understood how someone may send Viruses to someone using they're I.P. Address.

 

But he stole the information.

I mean, if you rob a bank and don't use the money... you still robbed a bank.

He has it but he didn't use it if he did it would be credit card fraud.
