Hey guys as i know ever since high school its been hard making friends. In Jr high school life was good had girlfriends/made friends easily including from other schools. But now after HS started my best friend moved out about 6 aves away. i haven't talked to him for about a year now I tried asking him to come hang out but he's to busy with his girlfriend and other friends. People tell me i'm shy but thats when i first meet them. Once they get to know me i'm a really fun person. I also don't know but i seem to make conversations awkward to a point where we stop talking this is only with some people though Idk whats wrong with me :c.
So This whole freshmen year ive been a Loner with no new friends or anyone and i keep thinking if this is going to affect me in my future it'll be hard trying to get a job/wife/or anything! Ill end up a BUM. >.<

I wouldn't worry that much about it. Just try and open up a little bit. Is it that you feel uncomfortable around new people? Try making friends with anyone that sits next to you in class.

Highschool isn't the end of the world, and you'll make friends, trust me. My sophomore year my best friend since I was just a kid moved across the country and I thought the same as you. But you get through it, you really do. I made it through highschool fine, just give it some time hun. (:

Shyness and awkwardness usually roots in self esteem issues.

I suggest working on that first, and realise that you actually have alot to offer people.

I felt like you did once, and started working out alot, changed clothes, and started talking to people..

I was shot down a few times, but that is what learning is, go confront your fear, and and the awkward situations, and make the best of them... They will teach you alot, and make you a social genious, I'm just saying :P

Good luck.

I agree, you have to keep trying, if you suddenly make a habit of being too un-social it could effect how you are in the future.

In this case, I wouldn't care about what other people think, just try to be your true self, which as you've stated is a fun person.

I'd suggest going out a bit more, maybe think of some hobbies they like and talk about that?
If your struggling finding conversation try and walk around with them in a group so they can start a conversation and you simply just join in.

Have you ever tried changing your look a bit?

Try talking to anyone who's in 1 of your classes and who sits near you, once you start talking to them it will become a part of your daily routine then you could ask them if you can chill with them during lunch or whatnot.

Try to get some humor in your routine, everyone loves comedy/humor. (At least every interesting person does :P) I don't mean go tell jokes to everyone but talk to the people around you and make smalltalk.

Good Luck, it's not the end of the world ;), just high school.

One of the best things you can do is just start talking to the people in your classes that sit near you. Get to know them. At that point when you start to see them around campus with their friends, work up the courage to walk up and talk to the person that you already know. It's a great way to get introduced to the rest of their friends, and then you can just go from there. I made a LOT of friends my freshman/sophomore year by doing that.
