My semi computer build can someone help me out?

I do not wish to get Linux I wish to get windows 7 legit I already have like 6 legit serial keys from my cousins house. He allows me to use it because his dad gets free operating systems from his work because he has worked in his IT company for 13 years I assume.

Lets not talk about pirating things anymore.

Anyways, you will have to buy the dvd burner/player, which is like $25 USD. I didn't put it in however, because if you have a 4 gigabyte USB laying around, you can just use that to install windows.

Okay, I was just saying its free.
Still go with my last build I posted, you can use windows if you want.

Yes, you can replace the case with that.

As for the dvd drive, this is the only difference-

You must buy that, or one like it, and install it in your computer. They are basically universal, so any build you have you can add one of those in.

You can if you want, but they are more expensive, and for your setup there is no need. Unless you plan on running more than one graphics card at a time, there is no reason to get a bigger one.

    Here is one for you-
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130653

Cheapest they make them really. An additional $15 or so.

If I get a 1 gb Graphics card and then 2gb graphics card will that increase the speed of the games i'm playing or will it just give me more HD graphics cause I would see no point on getting 2 if it doesn't increase the speed/performance of the game

If you already have one graphics card, but you decide you want to upgrade. You could grab a second one, and it would run smoother.

I'm not sure on this, so don't quote me, Justin is your man.

Nope, 2GB won't increase your gaming performance..
1GB is enough you need more VRAM if you have more monitors (2-3)
Also, getting 2 cards will increase the performance (by alot)..

If he was to Crossfire or SLI them, they would act as one central card and share powers. They must be compatible to crossfire or SLI with EACH OTHER though, and that's where the tricky part lies.

The rule of crossfire and SLI generally is: buy the exact same card twice, install them both, install the SLI bridge, and then configure them for SLI support in the control panel. Installing two cards individually will not give you double the processing power on graphics for games, but it will allow you to use double the monitors.

I have a rig at work that runs 12 screens. Two W600 AMD cards. No crossfire. If I crossfired them, they could only run 6.

So it allows you to use 2 monitors without the graphics going crappy or doesn't it allow you to dual screen when you can see half of each side of the game synchronizing the screens together

sorry I'm not that good at explaining things.

the upgrade to 2gig VRAM is beneficial only in some of the higher-end games, where 1 gig is simply not enough. the witcher, for example, used every bit of 1 gig at max settings on my laptop. The new Medal of Honor uses about 1.3 gigs.

the increase in video memory doesnt increase performance, it's the clock speeds (core/shaders/memory), memory type(gddr3/5) memory architecture bandwidth (64 bit/128 bit, 256 bit) and a number of other things.

SLI is very beneficial in gaming in that it basically takes the load and splits in half amongst the two cards. The slave unit will render it's part of the load, send it back to the master unit, which will then combine the two and send the image frame on its way. SLI can render images in several way- either by splitting each frame in half so the two cards are rendering a portion of the very same frame. it could also alternate between frames, here one card will render a frame, then the other will render a frame...alternating back and forth. It can also be used in a method where the major rendering workload is put onto one card, and the other card basically works to enhance the original image. the third method generally produces a much prettier picture, since it opens up further rendering options by utilizing SLI that you cant get any other way(such as 32x anti-aliasing, and 64x in quad-sli setups!). In the third setup, it works in the sense that the first card is enhancing the original image with the preset settings, then the second card will take the image and further enhance it as if it wasn't enhanced in the first place.
