    Seeking help from a Sythe Mod
    Hi, i am not certain this is the proper way to contact a Sythe Mod but i have a question and was hoping i could get some assistance.

    My business / Website is going through a Re-brand and website upgrade, currently there are two League of legends Elo Boosting company's using the name EliteEloBoost on sythe, it's sort of a generic name so this stuff can happen i suppose.

    I'm wondering if it's possible to do a one time name change, i'm staying in the same exact business and keeping this current name is manageable but being able to have a name change to match our new website domain name would be great.

    This would also be extremely helpful for the sythe user "EliteEloBoost" because we often have customer's getting the two of us confused with one another which can potentially bring about more problems since we both do LoL Elo Boosting.

    Could a Mod please PM me or contact me to let me know if this is possible?

    Refer your attention to the Username Change Request Thread in the donor lounge. Be aware of the rules for name changes that they currently allow:

    1. Removal of numbers in a name where the alternative is available (Example: Name1224 to Name)
    2. Replacement of a number in a name (Example: N4m3 to Name)
    3. Removal of characters such as underscores or hyphens where the alternative is available (Example: User_Name to User Name or UserName)
    4. Capitalisaton or de-capitalisation of name (Example: name to Name or Name to name)
    5. Removal of special characters in rare cases where the user profile glitches
    6. Removal of random letters that do not add to the username
    7. Minor corrections of spelling

    Pm Sythe/another Admin. Your case differs from the rest of the name change requests, and Sythe himself may allow you a change if you explain in greater detail why you need said change.

    I'll make a ruling on this here:

    Name changes are always by the consent of the party whose name is being changed and cannot be forced onto an unwilling party.

    In the case where two parties have both in good faith accidentally registered names that are confusingly similar and where both names are used for business the following provisions apply:
    1. One sensible, reasonable and where possible minimal name change to remove the confusing similarity is permitted. This will generally but not always be an extension of one of the names to a full business name.
    2. The parties may negotiate as to who will receive the name change. The parties may also decide not to proceed with any name change.
    3. If the parties disagree about who gets the name change then the party with the most established business (according to staff assessment) will win the right to the name change.

    In the case where there is a bad faith registration of a confusingly similar name the offending account is simply to be banned. However it should be noted that the complexities of individual cases may warrant some more creative solution and this last is a guideline rather than a rule. If staff see fit they can treat the case as a good faith conflict instead or use normal name change provisions to resolve the issue.

    Normal name change provisions apply such as the requirement to announce via user title the previous name for a set period, etc.

    In this particular case I think EliteEloBoost.com would be an appropriate change.
