It's been a long time since I drew anything, but I used to love drawing. Here are some of my drawings that I actually feel came out decent.

Middle school I believe? This is a photocopy of my entry into "Game Informer" magazine's envelope art contest. Suffice to say I didn't win :( Cloud from FF7

Used to draw Pokemon like it was my job. Mewtwo

My most recent sketch from years ago. Mia from "Evil Dead 2013"

Closest I've come to realism. I can't draw hair. Scarlett Johansson

Some really neat stuff there man, wish I was any good at traditional art. Why did you stop?

Thanks man, appreciated. I guess It became more stressful than relaxing. Started criticizing my own work too much.

This right here is some top class talent. Great job bro
Thanks dude! All these positive comments are making me want to draw again. :)

That cloud drawing looks very good. It's a shame you didn't win. Do you know which drawing won the contest?
Thanks! Yeah like I said, I think it was middle school when I entered this so I don't remember. It was a contest they held monthly and if you won they put your entry in the magazine.

I really like that cloud drawing, good job on it.
Thanks man :)

Loving cloud and mewtwo, try doing a few more Pokemon if you ever get back into drawing :p
Thanks bro. Pokemon were actually some of the first things I ever started to draw. I'll definitely draw a few more if I pick up the pencil. Always found Pokemon fun to draw.

Love the realism drawings, I did a lot of Pokemon drawings myself when I used to do speed arts on Youtube lol

Thanks buddy. I used to love watching the speed arts on Youtube. I watched a bunch of them when I started trying to learn to draw portraits.

I didn't trace anything? I drew from the reference images. I never claimed to have drawn from memory. Why would you assume that I traced? I've never traced anything in my life. You can clearly tell I didn't trace with my blown proportions (something I've always had trouble with). I won't argue anymore, but that's a harsh accusation to make... Was just trying to share my work. If you don't like it fine, but don't accuse me of stuff.

I'm sorry for my reaction, what I was trying to explain is that when you draw with a reference image you should try to be a camera from your own angle.
You are not supposed to create a photocopy, that's what printers are for.
If you know what I mean ;)

I've never drawn from imagination. I've always just looked at a picture and drawn it in an attempt to duplicate it. I don't know how you are going to tell me what I'm "supposed to do". I did the sketches at a young age as well and it's what I enjoyed doing. There are no limits on what I'm "allowed" to draw. I've changed my style to my best attempt at drawing portraits. Plenty of artists draw what they see. I still don't see a problem with this. I'm sorry that you do, but you're entitled to your opinion. I won't change what I enjoy drawing. You saying "it's good that I didn't win" is really harsh as I've seen plenty of people win with just drawing of reference images without their own spin on it. This was never a rule and never will be. If it's a forum rule to include the reference image, let me know and I will next time.

I love the realistic drawings, really great stuff.. I've tried to draw a few of those I'm not that amazing though XD, I personally find it hard to do features, it looks like simpler the better.

Appreciate that man.

Thanks! I fell in love with realism and never turned back. I've always struggled, especially with hair. The frustration is the reason I haven't drawn anything in such a long time.
