My Obby Pure

Its currently, 1 attack, 60 str, 48 hp, 61 mining. Any Ideas to make it own?

 

yea, get 55 slayer so you can get a slayer staff, train some hp to like 71, then get 99 strdoing soul wars.

Don't get prayer, that is always a mistake that Obby Maul Pures make.

 

Prayer would raise your max hit, but anymore than 31 is pointless as the % of att raise in ultimate reflexes would be minimal.
i've heard the wolf killing knife you get in priest in peril works ok for a quicker weapon and with 80+ str you'll hit pretty hard on 1 def with anything.
Do soulwars get ranged and str up practice your switching earn some money with skilling to buy good food etc.

make it a corrupt vls pure, max at 20 atk 99 str 99 hp around say 80 range, hits 500+ at level 67? hell yea

 

That sounds good, but maybe not 99 hp, get 99 str, 80 HP would stick wreck all the levels around

 

Instead of wasting time on the slayer staff you could get the sacred clay staff(takes 40 minutes to get).
It has a +50str bonus as compared to +35str from slayer staff.
It's almost exactly a rune long sword but with 1 more str bonus.
The only downside is that it has a slightly lower speed (5 rating instead of 6), so you'll get 20 attacks/min instead of 25/min but the str bonus itself is so high that you can ko even with your main weapon.

Knives-maul is still theoretically the best option but people safe badly against a knife-mauler. They'll eat at like 3/4 hp. What you need is unpredictability.

Stay away from slayer staff/sacred clay staff fights against anything >1def. Use range-maul for people >10def to rip through.


CVLS pures are expensive as hell.
At 3secs a hit(5 'game ticks') , 15minutes=900seconds/3seconds=300 hits.
That means that you'll get roughly 300 hits with it before it degrades.
Taking into account the market price of 3.4m that means you'll be paying 11.33k per hit.
HYPOTHETICAL VERY FAVOURABLE TEST:
Let's say the CVLS improves your kill ratio by an imaginary x2. At 200k per kill(quite generous), adding in 50% savings on used supplies (less deaths, inv of sharks/pots) another 40k means that you'll have an extra profit of 240k in the long run per alotted time. This works out to roughly ~20-21 shots of the CVLS you have to use in each kill before you end up losing money because of it. So if you can't finish your opponent in 20-21 hits of CVLSin the MOST FAVOURABLE conditions, then you're losing money per kill.

like somebody else said above just get sacred clay staff, or use black knives. darts are just eh. i would use steel or black knives cause they dont cost alot, also they dont do TOO much damage meaning when you pull out the maul you have a higher chance of koing. or you could use magic bow spec...?
