to be honest tell your friends you play if they call you a faggot they aren't your friends, Friends stick by you no matter what im sure they wont mind if you play runescape. If they do care i would just ignore them till they realise that your not there friend they will soon come back to you..

The only reason he's saying anything is because it's blatantly obvious that it bothers you. If you either just admit it, and say yeah, it's going pretty good actually, and then wait for him to answer, he won't. If he asks you what level, answer him honestly, and if he asks another question, answer that one. The moment he realizes you're fine talking about it, he'll stop.

Op, are you like 10-11? Don't mean that as an insult but sounds like your peers are like 8-10 years old, making fun of people because of the video games they play. I been playing RS since 03 when I was 14, and some of my friends knew about it, they just shrugged their shoulders and say w/e and not act like total cockknockers.

Just say something like "Yeah it's pretty cool, although I haven't played much recently". Don't act embarrassed or anything, but don't act nerdy either. If he sees that it's not bugging you then he and others will stop paying attention.

 

1) he's not really a friend, now is he? There was something (not runescape related) that my old "friends" started about me, it spread around, now they aren't my friends and one of them has a crooked nose.
