My incredible new computer!

So here's my boss "new" machine. Spent about a two days configuring the OS and encryption but it was totally worth it. Check out that bad-ass HDD mount. It's an old-school Caviar Black. Near 10 years old and running like a champion. Also, I'm looking into gettin some LED lights to put on the inside for maximum cool. The hoes are dripping..

 

I like the modifications. Reminds me of what I had to do to make an old hard drive fit into a new case. It was priceless. Nice work

 

It used to be a pre-built HP, hence why there was no room for the HD. At this point, only the Motherboard and CPU are original to the machine. I have a milk crate full of random PCI cards I'll shove into the back of it.

There are a couple other computers, if you can see in the picture, that I plan on using. I plan on turning one into an encrypted NAS and the other into a web or email server.

I really need to post in the battlestation thread soon, probably after I get all the other computers up and running.. As far as up-to-date hardware goes, I can't compete with someone like, say, N4N0 due to my financial and space restrictions, but just the configuration of all my shit definitely has to be up there with the best.

 

Screw a small box fan to the side of it and it will be much better. Also add more duck tape to avoid vibrations.
