Ex-gf opinions

Well I broke up with her and all that and we said we would stay friends but haven't talked at all since the breakup. On my birthday, (yesterday) I got a text that reads-

"Hey ik I'm a day late but happy birthday! even tho we may not talk much anymore you're always going to be one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met and I hope you had a great 17th!"

Basically what I'm asking, is this just a friendly gesture or is she trying to tell me she misses me? I just have my doubt because of the second sentence.

I agree with this. You could try and respark a flame if you'd like but it's no guarantee.

 

This explains your personal support thread, I assume? I don't think she's implying the latter, but I think it's an indication that she thinks highly of you

 

If she missed you she'd tell you, it's just a friendly gesture and i wouldn't go chasing after her again or try to generate a spark again. She's being nice that's all.

"Thanks, hope all is well with you!" would put the ball in her court as to where she stands wrt your relationship, but I agree with the above posters; just sounds like a friendly text.
