My adapter goes off while botting?

I have a netgear wireless adapter for my internet. With the blue blinking light and all haha. Whenever i bot, it overheats fairly fast and it and my internet turns off. All i do is unplug it and wait like 2 mins, but any idea as to why this happens? It even happens when just web surfing but it takes awhile.

Probably because you have information going to not only runescape, but to your botting sites as well for those signatures or whatever. And in addition to that, your bot is loading the script from a website while it runs if you're using an auth. I suggest getting a different adapter, honestly haha. That's just ridiculous.

That happened to me all the time with my old computer. I got a new computer and it doesn't do that as much.

I also don't use my router when I'm just on the computer because it seems to lower my bandwidth and make me lag. I have tried multiple routers from Netgear, D-Link, and Linksys but I'd have to say as far as lag and overheating goes, I prefer my Belkin.

if your router is overheating, Try to not put stuff on top of it. Also, try setting it out in the open. I know my router is always stuffed behind my monitor, but I know it doesn't get proper ventilation there. Try leaving it set out on you're desk and just trying the obvious way's to keep it from overheating

this is why wireless internet adaptors are always good. Or maybe you should call your isp if you do have wireless internet and tell them what's up

You just answered your question basically. You overheated the adaptor, it shuts off as a safety mechanism or it can't operate at the temperature.

Get a external USB wireless adaptor. Do a bit of research, I have a D-Link adaptor. It overheats quite easily when you have heavy internet traffic.
