MW2 Kick-off Tournament!

Modern Warfare 2 Kick-off! ​

Alright, after taking polls and recieving feedback from members of the community, I've decided that I will be hosting tournaments throughout the next few weeks/months depending on how well this goes.
I will be including rules and limitations regarding the tournament, depending on the type of tournament that this will be.

This tournament will be hosted on a dedicated server.
What is a dedicated server you ask? This will be used instead of one of the participants being the host and gaining an advantage over the other players. This dedicated server will have a minimal amount of human contact. With this being said, it will assure that you will not experience lag, unless it is your own connections doing.

This tournament will be hosted a week from the time of all participants registering. Registration will start when a tournament gametype has been selected by you the XBOX Community.

Above is a poll listing the possible tournaments that will be hosted for the
MW2 Kick-off tournament. Once this tournament is selected, I will post another thread with the official tournament. In this thread, I will include the cost for entry; this will vary depending on the amount of players/gametype (i.e FFA, 1v1, 4v4, etc.) I will then list a minimum amount of teams required to have the tournament going, with the max. After I have determined the minimum amount, I will then include the Prizes(these will also vary per tournament).

Regarding all tournaments, the first place winner will recieve the most prize money, with the second place player/team recieving a refund of their entry fee. The entries will be payed for by each player entering the tournament by the means of PayPal. If the money is recovered by you out of greed/intention of scamming, or due to poor sportsmanship because you had been eliminated, you will be disqualified from the tournament, and will not be able to register for another tournament in the future. Take this into consideration, you have been warned.

I will inform you when I am opening registration, and I will not add your MSN FOR ANY REASON and will always provide you with a PM before and after you send the money.

I don't have a poll option, although I will be playing if their is a 4v4 MLG

 

As I said before. Concentrate on 1v1's and FFA's to start with.

 

I'll keep it in mind, depending on the amount of entrants for the first tourney.

 

I'll enter a FFA (Perks only) on rust or any other map.

 

You should definitely do FFA on Rust... that's where it is at.

Also, im probably gonna be reported for spam but this is worth it (please dont ban me, just infract me for the spam or DBO might never be revealed as a scammer since i won't have access to my pm's). DBO --- since you won't respond to my pm's and you never payed me i figured this might get your attention and alert some of the sythe community to what you have done--- I will apologize/delete my post if you send the $16. You gave a legit reason for not paying immediately, but it doesn't take long to get $16 and now you won't respond to me and you are still posting on sythe. I haven't gotten all the proof together yet, but maybe you will be cool enough to actually pay me before i report you for scamming.

 

To clear things up, all of these tournaments will be everything but perks will be disabled, in terms of rocket launchers, grenade launchers, shotguns etc.

 

What about killstreaks? Optional?

 

Depending on the tournament. FFA most likely no killstreaks. If it involves a team, I may make killstreaks allowed.

 

Looking for up to 20 votes on this just to make sure that there will be participants.

 

How much do you think you will be charging people to enter? And how are you going to split the prize fund? Will there be something for 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

I'm actually interested in helping you if you need any help managing this.

 

The cost of entry is going to vary on the gametype, so that 1st prize is more rewarding for the victor. The prize fund will be split depending on the number of entrants. First place is going to recieve most of the money contributed by entries, with second place getting the amount that was provided by the entrants. Say if entry was $7.00 , they would recieve it back if placing 2nd.

Once I figure out the tournament that is going to be held, I will list the cost of entry, and from that I'll make a minimum amount of teams needed for the tournament to even go, and how many maximum. The prize will vary per number of teams.

 

Depending on the number of voters, this will be hosted next weekend. I'll release all of the information this weekend, and open registration.

 

So not this upcoming weekend but next? I'm interested in som FFA or 1v1's.
