Looks like we have a temporary crisis on our hands folks. It appears that online multiplayer for users with the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2 is ‘completely down’ - following a trophy patch last night.

News is spreading like wildfire on the net, that matchmaking is hanging on the online lobby screen, leaving players with the ‘Connecting to Matchmaking Server’ screen under Online Status.

A quick peek on Robert Bowling’s Twitter account and there is no updates from his last message stating that a patch was incoming to fix the party invite problem - a completely separate issue.

Lets hope that a solution is found soon, as we’re sure theres a lot of puzzled gamers out there wondering what to do.

We’ll keep you updated asap when an official statement is released on the problem. In the meantime, let us know if your matchmaking returns to normal, as it will keep other readers informed.

I have a ps3 and and xbox, and i like my xbox way better. Everyone uses mics, live's service is way better, and ps3s can't be modded.
Thanks for the info though, i was planning on buying mw2 for my ps3 just to play with my friends.
 
Yeh, i noticed this earlier sucks to be honest but at least its world wide so I'm not left to far behind.

There are just certain people who can't get off of Bill Gates dick. They see a thread that says "PS3" in it and feel they have to post their comments about how great Xbox is over PS3.
