I can see their concern, definitely. But in my case (and some of the others mentioned here), it seems Jagex sometimes takes things to extreme lengths.. I wish they would atleast review the chat, and my history, and realize that I am a totally honest player and that I never break any rules. This is my first offence of any kind in 10 years!

As for girls on RS, I have met a few cool ones for sure. I even have one of my friends list who is one of my best RS friends, and we jokingly talk dirty to each other all the time. It is harmless though IMO, its not like we are planning on meeting up in real life or taking our relationship out of Runescape, we are simply friends in an online, community based game and we enjoy chatting with one another. No need to make such a big deal over things Jagex >_<

that's basically it. I mean, don't you remember the ridiculous amount of chat filtering they used even like 2 years ago? Now they've just moved to punishing instead of prohibiting.

 

I actually wasn't around 2 years ago, I quit rs around 2005 and didn't start playing again until this past June, so as you can imagine there was a TON of new content/changes to the game that I had to adjust to.

I was extremely surprised when I started playing again and we were able to swear. I grew up playing in when everything was censored by annoying ********'s, even legitimate sentences quite often.

I also remember back in RSC when swear words would be replaced with the word "cabbage" LOL

 

Firstly this could have been anybody reporting you, although its likely a PMod gave you an insta-mute for 24/48 hours.
