I am here today to try to settle a dispute between myself and Mustang. I believe mustang is trying to extort me.
We are in a standstill situation, that to me, is not going to get anywhere without a third party input into the situation.
He has claims that i recovered the account, which I sold him over discord, and stole 5.6b worth of gold off the account.
I was shocked to hear the news when he said this. When I gave him the account, I had the impression he would be happy.
Now I will say, I was acting professionally with him during our first conversations, but as he became more accusatory. I will say I
lost my professinalism in doing the deal with mustang. Althought the pictures I share are mostly the worse side of me as it
the only information relevant to the case.

I would like to start with giving the time of events of the interactions between myself and mustang.

on 3/02
Mustang came to me saying that the account was locked and he needs to try to recover the account
I asked him how it got locked and so forth. no answer was given to me during the time saying how it did.
I spent all night with him giving him the answers with no prevail. After numerous times and waiting for the answers,
he asked me to do it myself which i screenshotted and sent him proof that the claims of recovery were denied.

I still cant recover the account and tell him that it still did not get through.

He dms me if im around and if I have the account.
I didnt have it at the time and he became angry and accusing me of things.

I was unable to recover the account. I never played on the account where I currently live, I moved very far away.
I tried digging up all the information i could i tried my best to get him the account that he wanted back.
I offered him a refund on the account because i wasnt sure i was going to be able to recover it.
I wanted to make things right with him. I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble if I wasn't being sincere in my dealings.


I will admit I withheld some information from mustang, as I was unaware of any of the circumstances nor aware of any imporantance on the the way I get it back.
With him accusing me of all of these things it was hard to without escalation in my opinion. I had gotten my old roomate, who has never played this game before
only watched me play to recover the account. I knew I was going to be unable to recover it, exactly the same he was unable to do so.
I offered him a refund for the purpose of he can either take it or wait a while. I was not sure when I would be back home. I didn't expect to ever play on that account again.
I don't have the information lying around and it could of been months since I would be home.
The account was made around 2005, I was like 10 at the time. The only thing I thought of which would work is recovering it from a known place that I live in and played in for a long
period of time.

I offered him a refund, because to my knowledge and awareness, if I couldn't get the account back or if it was going to take months for me to get it back.
The best option would be to refund the money back to him. and the responsibility would be on me. All during this time he thinks I am trying to scam him.

My friend gave me the account the following day. When it actually went through. I was happy and I sent him the information for the account. Thinking that he would be happy. I can prove one hundred percent that i got my friend to recover the account
admins can discord call me for more info on that.

that his worries he was scammed were over. But then I was accused of stealing 5.6b off the account. Which I just took in disbelief on the accusations he was saying.

I would like to point out in the discord logs I say "all sythe will do is make me pay you back for the amount of the account." which in my eyes is true as I told him before
he bought the account if it ever got recovered. I will refund. I was under the impression he was accusing me of trying to get the account back for the current cost that I paid him.
When he was saying that I was extra for the account. I thought he was saying he wanted me to pay an extra fee for "trying" to get the account back. which is obviously untrue. I was only made aware of the 5.6b during the time i
was actualy able to give him the account.

Now I can't tell if this is some sort of scare tactic that he employs in order to get the account back/hes lying/or that he is actually being honest that there was 5.6b on that account.

He never told me that the account had any wealth on the account. It is fair to have the assumption that mustang, as a reputable account seller, bought the account from me
with the intentions of resale of the account for profit. It is fair to assume that the account wouldnt have anything of value during this time. I asked him if he sold the account
and he said he did not.

When i had the account in my possesion it was at lumbridge bank with a max inferno cape, flail, max hood, maybe some clothing. and a bunch of teleports in his inventory.
It had the looks as if it was posing for resale of the account and pictures to make it look nice when selling. I looked in the bank, which had no pin.
I only logged into the account as curiosity kills the cat as was just curious to see what he was doing with under the impression thats its probably cleaned from the bank
i left him with. i was shocked to see the bowfa was still there and that nothing has changed so i was like ok then logged off and that was the last time i logged in.
Now its hard for me to believe that mustang would of left 5.6b on the account that he just bought from a member from this community that doesn't have the reputation to
support such an action. Its hard for me to believe that mustang, with his experience in dealing with scammers/account recoverers/etc, would have put 5.6b on an account
he just bought from less reputable seller with no pin on the account protecting his assets. Its hard to belive his word over the word of the people i trust in
my own eyes.

I didnt think this situation would come to this and i really did not want it to.
But i can not be found liable for the 5.6b that he has yet to present any evidence or credibility that the money was on the account at the time.
I was unaware of any wealth on the account of the time when asking a friend to recover the account.
While i am still willing to either offer a refund on the account of 358 dollars or give him the account back which i have attempted to do so.
I am not willing to pay any sort of loss of wealth that i was not responible for, nor can prove that there was.
to me either mustang is trying to extort me for more money or we are both being honest and we are both geting played.

Without proof of money on the account. there is really nothing i can do about it and my hands are tied behind my back.
If there was any gold on the account as he so claims. the initial lock is probably what cause it and i had nothing to do with it.
either jagex took it away since rwt (but unlikely since it probably would of got banned?). or someone close who he works with
logged in stole it from a different ip which caused a lock from switch ips to much.
If i was able to recover it from the get go. the initial lock would have just been a recovery. it wouldn't have taken three days to recover the account.
after even being aware of any situation.

He claims that I took the 5.6b off and then traded the bowfa on the account. when in fact the bowfa was on the account. the picture labelled bowfa is what i left the bank with
when i sold it to him. and it was identical when i had it. It looked like nothing has changed on the account.

If you go back to the other logs. i claimed the account was in the same gear the day before. I confronted my friend and asked him about it and he claimed the same thing.

His story adds up. I knew him for a long time. He would never scam me. he wouldn't screw me over. like i said before i can share more logs if the admins pleases, privately.

now i say he is extorting me because he is trying to take advantage of my username
and try to prevent me from wanting him to go public. and is why he keeps say i would rather handle it in discord than here. and to think about it. He even calls me by my real name in a manner that he is going to use it in a dangerous way. He also keeps claiming i am going to ruin myself in doing so.

So for all safety i wish the admins keep everything on this post.

I also have chat logs between me and my friend. I can video call with an admin to share the chats privately. (dont want to release his stuff publically). I also can explain and go through any lack of credibility.

mods can also check that i am not currently near the current ip i usually log in to here.

i tried to get him to work with me in this matter as well. asking for proof, but would not come up with any. I told him there was nothing i can do without proof. I can't hard accuse without proof. just like he is doing.

This is all i have to say on this matter. this post is the only place i will continue to conversate on this matter for my own protection since my username is sensitive. also to eliminate him from extorting me on this site any farther.

I have no ill feelings to any parties in this case and and sorry to all.

First of all I would like to say I have been trying to stay as calm, professional and polite to the person who has scammed me for 1500-2000$. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about him. Constant bad words flying at me.

CONCLUSION OF THE INCIDENT:

2. March
Account got locked. I tried unlocking the account myself with the full recovery information given by him on the account purchase. After several tries with different combinations, all declined still. Even tried recovering it to the original E-Mail (which is in his hands) but that did not work out aswell after multiple tries. Meaning the recovery information given to me by him was way too wrong. And he even admits in this report he knowingly didn’t give me every correct answer.

I asked him to try, telling him several times if the recovery request gets accepted, to hand me over the link directly straight away, without him having any access to the account. But as we have found out later, he refused to do so and still put the account on his details and logged into it.

3. March
He said he had tried to recover the account several times but the recoveries did not work. But no proof of these attempts was shared. He said he is away from home currently and would try again within like a week when he is back. And I said I would have been fine with that.

5. March
I found out that the account’s password had been changed, meaning he had successfully recovered the account back to himself and set a new password on the account.

I asked for the account back and he just kept telling me he doesn’t know anything and does not have the account.

After getting the access to the account finally on 9th March the fact that he had access to the account already on 5th March was confirmed with the E-Mail change message.

9. March
After the account had been in his possession for 3-4 days already, I received a password change link finally and got acces to the account. He said everything is on the account when it clearly wasn’t.

Last login was not 7+ days ago like it should have been, but just only 6 hours ago.

AMOUNT STOLEN BY Teddy padussis is 5600M OSRS GP.

Bowfa and Crystals was taken out of bank (~180M OSRS GP) but as account was F2P and it seems he couldn’t have traded it away easily, it was decided to be kept on the account. Also couldn’t be put back to the bank as it was full.

Dates could be a little different because of timezone difference.

Any more detailed proof will be shared with staff privately.

 

everything was on the account. If you had 5.6b on the account. its not my fault you didnt have a bank pin. If you had a bank pin/ or told me that there was 5.6b on the account. i would of made sure i took a different route of getting the account back and this would of never of happened.

 

if i stole 5.6b from you. i would of bought a bond with the 5.6b and then sold the bowfa for 180m more. that lie doesnt make any sense mustang. keep making up lies

 

Having a bank pin would not have helped, as the missing 5600M OSRS GP was in inventory. And that does not require bank pin or anything to be traded / dropped away. And even if there was a bank pin, you probably would have just kept the account in your hands a few days longer than you did currently, to have the bank pin removed and check and clean the bank aswell before returning the account. And meanwhile just continue with the constant lies to me.

Would have been way too risky to tell you that there is this much GP on the account from the start as I could have been just blocked and scammed then right away. I told you repeatedly how I wanted the account back with the first Recovery Accepted link forwarded directly to me. Doing it this way you would have not got any access to the account and not known anything about it nor steal that if you were honest and followed the instructions given.

 

there was no instructions given. u did not repeadely tell me how. yes a bank pin would of saved u.

To my best guess the initial lock had something to do with it. I have nothing to do with the loss of gold on the accoont

 

There wasn’t any other important information between the two besides me asking for my discord role back.

 

Like I said we are good friends. We mostly talk in a discord call.
