Msn Error. Odd Problem

I have recently had problems with my MSN. When I attempt to log in, with the correct password, it doesn't let me sign in and gives me a troubleshooting screen with a try again option. It hasn't been working, but it has worked prior to this therefor I know the password is correct.
Here's the error:



It's saying there's an error with the key ports and the proxy server.

 

Do you have a firewall? Make sure you have MSN/Windows Live Messenger set to allow full access on the exceptions list.

 

Have you tried using a web messenger?
Ebuddy etc?

 

if you keep having problems uninstall then reinstall it. that might work

Log in there.

If you can login correctly, then it's either your computer or the msn.

You can:

-Uninstall / Reinstall
-Restart comp
-Upgrade your version [There is a new one now, I believe]

 

I've done all of the above and all of you are incorrect, yes, even you Daily, lol . But, I did locate the problem. There were proxy errors with my internet explorer and your WLM is affiliated with IE therefor I had to change the internet connections on IE to get the internet working on IE again and then my WLM worked.
