On the real though, Waterboy is a funny movie despite Adam Sandler. It's not like Sandler lacks the ability to play a mentally retarded person...

If we follow that logic, we could say, artists like One direction and Katy Perry are far superior in skill than The Rolling stones or whatever you name it, just because they earn more nowadays. And I don't know what movie recommend to you. I don't know what Adam Sandler's fans watch besides his movies.
