Motorbike riders?

Anyone on Sythe ride/ridden/own a motorbike?

I'm UK based, passed my test in summer this year, still on a learner legal 125cc road bike, however I am looking to upgrade to a sport 600 early next year.

Current bike: Honda CBR125
Next bike: Honda CBR600/R6/GSXR600 (just getting the cash together)

 

I've had a motorcycle license since I was 16, and have owned two mopeds/scooters (totally acceptable for a man to ride scooters in my country hehe)

I've also delivered pizza for 3 or so months this year

I want to get a permit that will allow me to drive motorcycles that have more than 125cc, but that's most likely not happening anytime soon on my budget >_<

 

Im 17, my friend found an abounded Moped and we all helped fixing it up, registering it etc.

Ive ridden it a few times but not much off a fan, i'd prefer to just get a car tbh.

 

How exactly do you register an abandoned moped??

 

Take it to the DMV and get it registered?

So it's identifiable and legal to drive.

 

Ladies ladies ladies, Mopeds and scooters are not motorbikes

Get a 600 under your ass, top end of 155mph minimum

 

I refuse to get a motorcycle. Too easy to die from an accident and I don't trust other drivers.


Not to mention the idiots who ride them in flip flops and no helmets.

 

I'm in UK, so it's DVLA.
I checked the No. Plate, nothing came up.
Applied for the registration forms via DVLA, couple weeks it was sorted.

 

I agree with your equipment point, personally I won't get on my motorbike without full leathers.

I want to eventually get a motorcycle for the sake of saving money.

Will probably get a 300CC Ninja.

 

Very nice choice, top end of about 110MPH ish I believe, claimed anyway. New display is also a great upgrade from the tacky 250

 

Yeaah, it's true that you'll most likely get into an accident at least once, one way or another

But it's that "feel" and love that you have for them that makes the dangerworth the risk when riding one

And yes, the first thing i say when I see somebody riding without a helmet is "someone's dying today"

 

I thought you had to wait 4 years before you could have over a 125cc bike or something?

Edit: ah nvm.. Just googled it and it's 2 years although you have to be 21 to take some test.. But I you're not 21 you can tak the A1 and A2 test or something?? No idea about bikes, so you're best off not listening to me

 

I've only ever been the bitch on the bike aka.. The one screaming on the back to slow the fuck down !

Though, I'd love to get a ZX10R as a dream bike, I'll never allow myself to do it as I would most certainly be killed within the first 4 hours of owning it.

Also, you seem like you know the score, do you know if you can actually take a motorcycle test if you're lacking the vision in one eye? I know it doesn't prevent me from driving but not sure what the score is with bikes as looking over my shoulder could be an issue.

I live in a special part of the United Kingdom, im 20 years old, I did my CBT, and practical test on a 125cc bike, passed the test and now I can ride any CC bike I want.

 

i rode on my friends dirtbike once
its not as easy as it seems lol
first i burn my leg on the exhaust while trying to get on
then i turn the handle back and the next second im doing a wheelie and im freaking out haha
not a good experience
i have been on a 50cc pocketbike before tho and that was fun

But srs, I have ridden dirt bikes before at mates but I don't have my own or anything. No street bikes etc
