More *Active* Moderators..?

Suggestion:

More Moderators, who are active. They would have less power than normal moderators have now.


Where?:

In the Rs Guides section, mainly.


Why?:

There are tons of crappy guides being published by noobs, like Merchant in the Dark and BarnikelBoy to name a few, who post pictures of their "accounts", which of course aren't their accounts, and trick other stupid noobs into buying them.

This has been done several times, and the people who do it walk away with several hundred dollars and often don't even have their thread locked or their account banned.



Specifics:

These new Guide Section Mods could verify a player's account in game, by having that player show them the most valuable items in the bank pic, and matching it up with the picture posted on the guide topic.

Each guide publisher could ask their preferred Guide Section Mod to verify their account ingame.

This will reduce scamming, and eliminate suspicions people will have about the publisher of the guide.

This seems like something within reason, but something that is also designed for the 'Runescape Mod' title. It is possible to make threads in a section have a requirement to be moderated before posting. Maybe we can have the staff verify these guides in the future, and if they are found to be valid, they can be allowed to be posted.

Tbh, I'm not sucking up or anything, but usually when I open Sythe, at the bottom, there's like 2+ Mod's on. Maybe you get on at like the sleep time in all timezones =/

Earlier there were like 8 staff members on at once.

On the suggestion its a runescape mods job, and if you see a scamming guide report it to Report a Scammer.

There are only 2 RuneScape Mods and in my opinion there should be more.
I mainly manage the RuneScape 2 General, Cheating, Mini Games & Guides section. But i don't actually look into each thread to see if its a scamming guide i usually just look over the thread title and see if its a Advert thread etc.

1. First of all, I agree that there aren't enough moderators for the RuneScape section, and there should be more, but mods shouldn't have to log in to meet with everyone, because that would be tedious and annoying, and no one would want that.

2. Second of all, the naive fuck that posted that he would be a 'good mod,' you should really kick yourself in the balls for that, because you basically just shot yourself in the foot.
