Im going to continue on this thread to help people not get scammed. Personally, on my first day, I lost over $90. Chargebacks/Reverse's and dodgy payment sendings.

1. Always expect the buyer to go first.
2. Best trading with someone which is Verified on Paypal
3. Try trading with someone with atleast 10 vouchs.
4. Check what they write in the note.
5. Make sure they dont write any fake information on the payment.
6. Another big tip is try to keep the same customers, new customers are a much bigger risk because you dont know them and you dont know if they are legit or not. Regardless of how many vouches.
7.Read vouches, each and every one of them. Don't judge people on quantity of vouches because many are junk for skill training etc. These services are often botted anyway so the provider has done nothing.

6&7 added from wiredgamings post.

An example below:

1. It's a money request not a payment.
2. They changed the subject to trick you.
3. They bullshitted the note.

So a few pointers to help you out:

1. Check your paypal balance.
2. If its not an instant payment, refuse to trade any gold until the payment clears, dont even do 50/50.
3.Same applies for a echeque which is 3-5 Working days.
4.Check your email ALWAYS. This will confirm if it is a payment or a money request.

People to watch out for that have scammed me so far: "Emails"

Decent guide. The biggest tip I can give on this is just research the person you are dealing with before you trade with them. Google search their email, their sythe name, etc. If someone adds you on MSN wanting to buy/sell, make them post on your thread to verify they are a sythe user. If they aren't, I wouldn't suggest trading with them.

Thanks n4n0, Everyone should read this, you might learn something too for yourself in the future.

If people think this guide may be helpful, we should try get it stickied ;)

vouches are useless if they are all from a recently joined member or whetever, post count doesnt matter, check how long theyve been on sythe aswell

Well, people have 2 opinions on vouch's they either think that the more you have is the more you are trusted or they completly disregard them and think they are of no value.

I myself am new, but I have realised in by 48 hours of being apart of this forum that people with 20 vouchs or even high post counts can be scammers, Join date has also no relavence to if you are trustworthy or not too.

I personally think the best way to stay safe is follow the rules above and if the Buyer disagrees to the following terms use an OMM/MM.

If they decline that I would back out of a trade.

Nice to see your using your experiences to stop other people getting scammed. :)

AAh, very helpful!

Aight whatever you say? Cause everyone knows your business is legit?

Nice tips. Never even heard of the money request scam. How did you learn so much with so little time on Sythe ?

Sythe isn't the first forum I've been on so yeah? Plus I did like 20 trades during those 2 days so I learnt abit.
