Money from US to UK

Hi, im from the UK, I recently sold an account for [insert sum] and that was about 18 hours ago, the money still hasn't shown up in my account. He did send me a a picture of a receipt, but it dust said receipt number and offer ID, nothing else. Is this dodgy? Or does it always take this long for stuff to go from us to uk when sending money?


edit: Shit, he sent on bank holiday lol.
