Modify/Remove New Rule On Workers Not Allowed To Have Threads v2

• If you work for a goldshop (regardless if they have a website or not) you are not allowed to make your own thread in the RS3 Buying/Selling, OSRS Buying/Selling, or swapping section

This rule obviously needs modified. You can still buy/sell RSPS?

What if my employer sells CS:GO? I am still allowed to buy and sell CS:GO on my own?

I don't agree with this rule in any way shape or form. I can no longer use the market on my own, gotta love a free market right? It hinders responsible members of Sythe from buying and selling on their own terms. This rule does nothing except supply a rule for you staff members to fall back on if someone was caught doing this, which I believe were dealt with accordingly to in the past.

Anyways the rule needs reworked or explain why the other markets are free to do as they wish, and also why a member like myself can never make a thread buying/selling on my own.

 

I put up a staff vote sometime during May about this, and ultimately the staff voted to keep this rule intact. Unless any new points are brought up, it's already discussed and decided on.

 

Feel like if you arent associating your sythe with your gold shop, then you should easily be able to independently buy gold/csgo/etc as a separate identity

 

Even if you don't remove the rule(assinine imo) it still needs edited in some way.

Atleast make it affect every market equally there aren't only OS and RS3 sales on Sythe.. As i pointed out in OP I am still allowed to buy/sell RSPS gold lol

 

Here was my suggestion. You can only be apart of one website. That means if you work for a website, you can still have your personal thread open; however, you cannot be advertising another website on that thread. This would stop the automation of multiple websites all with one connected livechat. This would mean if you work for a website and want to sell your own gold, you can't make your own website; rather, you must stick to Skype sales. This would leave only 2 realistic ways to manipulate this:

1 - Directing customers who add your skype to the main website (not very likely)
Cons:
* This would quickly get you and the company banned for market manipulation.

2 - Selling company gold on your own accord (more likely)
Cons:
* No fraud protection. No blockscript. No website safety, which leads to more chargebacks. You can't pull IPs on Skype anymore.
* A lot less traffic. The majority of workers don't have much reputation, which means they would have to discount the gold to even be able to sell much of it. They would also have to dabble with MMs which makes it very inefficient.
* Workers wouldn't stick to a set hour schedule, rather they'd have to be at their computer a lot just to slave for a few extra sales and get that extra $2 an hour for commission

This is what I outlined in the staff discussion. If you have any more points, you are free to express them; however, based on that (and a few more points) the staff have decided to leave it as is.

Nothing in the rule does it mention you have your own WEBSITE that you are making a thread for. From reading this rule all you can gather is that you can never make a thread in those sections if you work for a gold company. All I was saying is that I would never be able to trade PERSONALLY because I could never have a thread in that section.

Also again i'll mention my other point, the rule only mentions rs3 OS and swapping. You are still able to have your own website for CS:GO, WoW, habbo, RSPS etc?

I'll say this again the rule needs updated and made more clear....
