Slayer...back in 2006!

long time ago now! but that was when i started playing!

It was all so much better back in those days....

Anyway, for those who can remember :L what was the best slayer gear! im interested to compare the stats with the gear nowdays! would be interesting

 

I remember slaying back in the day in a Fighter Torso, Verac's Skirt, and Rune Boots while using Guthans to heal.

Good memories...

 

i remember the first whip that oddball guy got he sold for like 40 or 60m. was alot of money back then

 

slayer was so good... whips were like 40m purple hats were 7m cheapest.. My first whip cost me 2 purples and 7mil oh and the whip special was awesome at first before it got nuked max hit nearly every spec

 

oddball and fir3 something were the first to 85 slayer to if I remember so

 

I think back in the day alot of people used to just slay in rune or dragon armour, and any of the fremmenik helms that were available at the time. I can't remember that period with too much clarity as I quit RS right around that time, but I do remember training early slayer with such noob gear

I also never really, fully got into Slayer until this past 2 weeks. It has been the only thing I have trained in 13 or 14 days and I just can't get enough of it

 

Yup.

When I first started Slayer I trained with a Rune Platebody, Platelegs and Berserker Helmet.

Of course, some of the cool kids (like myself) would throw on Rockshell for a change. :laugh:

 

I remember slaying in guthans legs, a torso, and zerk helm with a full guthans switch to heal up.

Guthans was almost the most crucial part of any slayer task, it allowed for the trips to last soo much longer.

 

Guthans with ss still is the best for very long term trips but short term its the bandos with rapier set up

 

think barrows armor and whip were best back then
