If anything, Silva will most likely give GSP a hard fight.GSP will HAVE to be emntaly prepared to fight a striker 100 x better than Matt Serra and not get knocked out.
I just cant see a clear winner.

GSP will get Ko'd if he doesn't have the mental strength. I think after seeing how easily Silva can knock you out with just anything, in his future fights people will start to be mroe and more intimidated.
I mean look at Forrest vs Rich, it was a great fight.. Forrest had the edge in the fight. BUT Look at the way Silva beated Rich twice. It was inhuman.
Silva just inst Human and i lol at the kids who think Jones can take on Silva.
Not mental strength, chin strength. GSP can get him down though and either GSP will win by decision, Silva will win by Decision, Ko or sub.
I believe Jones can beat silva. Jones has flashy good striking, a solid chin, great wrestling and great gnp with good subs.
His sub defence/chin havent been tested a whole lot though.
Experience counts for alot too. I dont think Jones has the experience. Hes still fairly new and i think THAT is the major factor between him and Shogun.

I think Jones is a good matchup for Silva stylistically. Styles makes fights. Experience does help a lot. Jones manhandeled bader, who is a big 205.
Silva and Jones both have flashy styles. Stylistically they both seem similar except Jones has the better wrestling and Silva has the better striking. I think Silva's faster, and Silva sets up his attacks more cleaner. His strikes are more accurate. Jones just throws them out there while Silva tries to make every shot count.
I've seen Jones and i like him, however he just inst experienced enough.
Hes a great fighter, and hes coming up the ranks. However i don't think hes got the thing to be # 1 yet. There are a lot of fighters who seem like they will be the best, E.G. Machida who had the record of only being hit once every two rounds. But now no-one thinks hes that good anymore. i still think hes just as good, just has to get back in the game. Machida can beat Jones, if they ever fight i would put my money on Machida.
Jones looks like hes invincible, but im not going to buy that nonsense yet. He doesnt have the the juice to beat Silva at all. Hes got the edge against Shogun but i have a feeling Shogun could win. I want Jones to win tho.
You cant count out Shogun as he was the former best 205er in 05' and now again in 0'10. I think the title shot was way too fast, and its what... next month? Hes got 6 weeks to try and figure out how to deal with Shogun. If Jones can take Shogun to the ground Jones can take the fight.
Shogun was a former Muay Thai world champion, his Muay Thai is obviously better than Jone's and Shogun knows all about those elbows. If you watch Muay Thai, those "flashy elbows" are quite normal. Striking wise Shoguns is just better. Jones just have that wrestling advantage i think might be Shogun's downfall.
What most people have not realized is....Shogun is flashy as HELL also. Watch his Pride fights, and then you'll realize what Jones is in for.
I remember you saying Silva's Muay Thai is better than Shoguns, i have to disagree, Shoguns got more "pure" Muay Thai. Silvas good, but Shoguns better in that department. However Silva's overall striking is better, because hes also a TKD black belt. he doesn't just do Muay Thai. Jones cant deal with what Silva offers, TKD, Muay Thai, Judo. What you have to realize is Silva is trying to perfect every martial art he knows. Jones inst, instead jone is just that dude that is good at wrestling, hes good at striking. But hes not at Silva's level. If they fight, Jones wont win.
Now please write back a well written response, or i will feel i'v written all this for naught.

I think there is nothing wrong with Machida. Like I have said styles make fights. He just got caught by Shogun, and lost a close decision to Rampage. Shogun is a bad style matchup to Machida. I personally believe though that Jones would beat Machida though if/when they fought. Bones completely manhandeled Bader, who is a big 205 lber.
Shogun does have better striking over all than Jones, but his is a lot more flashier (which is awesome), and his wrestling is great. I realize in 2005, Shogun was the best in the world after stopping Rampage, Overeem, Arona, and Little Nog, but since then he has battled knee problems, having surgery twice on them. He is also on the downslope on his career, while Jones is 23 years old.
Anderson Silva's pure muay thai is still better than Shoguns too. Anderson has the best Muay Thai clinch in Mma, hands down. Silva's striking is also better overall, because he is great everywhere: from the pocket, inside, at the clinch. Im not discounting shogun at all, but I believe he will lose Jones. That being said, we will find out how well jones can take a hit, and how good shogun can defend takedowns.

And being flashy on Machida is the last thing you want to do. Not to mention Machida's incredible TDD. You try those elbows on Machida and you'll be lights out when Machida counters.

Jones is flashy, but im pretty sure if he fought a counter fightr he would be smart enough to pick his shots, and im sure he could take machida down.
And while shogun is 28, his knees make him 35

But first things first, experience counts for alot. Some people bottle up during tough fights. So far he hasn't fought a former champion yet. I wanted to see him fight one before a title shot. But it so happens he gets a title shot and will turn Shogun into a former champion

And rampage declined the title shot offer. He is at 250 and 50 pounds in 6weeks wasnt good. So he declineed it.

Jones' biggest win is Matyushenko/Bader. Shogun's beaten the best already.
It's a farce seeing that Vegas odds are making Jones the favorite.

However Shogun inst that health,y but looks much better than the forrest fight. I think Jones has the edge. but its anyones fight. I'd put money on Jones to be safe.
Next Machida would run Jones down, Jones aint got the experience to handle someone as technical as Machida. Tito inst a bad wrestler, Tito was flung around like a chicken. Machida's TDD is underrated IMO. I remember Shogun attempting takedowns, Machida even trip'd once and Shogun still couldn't get him down.

Shogun has a better style. Aggressive with crazy kicks. He hasn't fought elite competition like Shogun has. He's gonna chop that tree down called Bones Jones.
Now that everyone's on the BJ bandwagon I feel obligated to cheer for the more proven fighter.
Im rooting for Fitch, mainly because Fitch could do what Edgar did just as effectively. I.E sit on BJ.
And thats what im saying, if Shogun comes back doing those crazy 360 round house kicks. Shoguns gonna be tough for Jones.
And also Shoguns is faster than Jones. He counters leg kicks so fast on Machida, it was like lightning. his Muay Thai World Champion self was kicking in on the 1st Machida fight.
Thing is, if Jones could take Shogun down and hold him there, and switch in between striking and taking Shogun down it could put Shogun off.
I still think Shogun finds Jone's flashiness (which everyone who doesnt do Muay Thay AKA Bader thinks is flashy) normal. As once again its all Muay Thai. Being a Muay Thai world champion hes used to cresent moon elbows, flying knees and spinning backfists/kicks.
And becaue you have .20 cents on it.
Jones ground game is better than Shoguns. He has great gnp, excellent bows, and has good chokes.
He will get shogun down to the ground
Gotta see how mr jones can take a hit though. Because Shogun and Rampage are the hardest hitters at 205.
