Separate vouches for sales/being friendly

Why I would want to have is because I think it would encourage nice fellas, and if there is any confusion in whether or not you can vouch for that you can put it in the "separate vouch thread", which would not be allowed to refer to in sales titles etc.

Example of a sale vouch: Vouch for "EXAMPLE" for selling me 1 bronze dagger, legit

Example of a "friendly" vouch: Vouch for "EXAMPLE" helped me creating a signature, super friendly guy


So what I'm proposing is pretty much like a "feedback" thread for every member who wants to have it, just like many mods/admin have. It would help me personally to be criticized on what I say.
Thoughts?

 

Hmm, I think it's better to be able to give reputation of some sort, I don't think 2 vouching threads would help.

 

I suppose it could cause more confusion than dissolve. But I think members should be rewarded for being a nice fella, I'd much prefer a +1 system but as that's in the "DO NOT SUGGEST LIST", I didn't make that proposal as that has obviously been given before and it's not "allowed" unless strong arguments for it.

If "my" idea is considered the same then I'm sorry, but I consider this different from that as you would state exactly what the member did for you etc.

 

you should only be recording vouches for non-gfx trades in your vouch thread. "vouch, helped me with something" shouldn't count, and i would remove that post if you reported it.

It's like a rep system but instead of just giving a +1 you give the person actual feedback of what he did nice, which wouldn't be allowed to show off in sales sections. Instead this would only be there to encourage being friendly to one and another.

You know like every admin pretty much have their own "Feedback" thread, it could be like that. So people can criticize you, and also give positive feedback so you can improve as a person.

 

I don't see the point of this in all honesty, no support, a vouch should only be given for sales/services and what not.

 

Fair enough, but a thread where you can post feedback to every member who wants to have feedback, even if it's critic against you is more what I'm leaning for.

I feel like that would be good to improve your attitude, service, whatever feedback there may be about you.

 

To me, vouches are meant to be exchanged FOR friendly, helpful, and great service AFTER two parties engage in a trade where some form of trust is involved, i.e. one party is entrusted with gp, irl money, etc. So in a way, a vouch is meant to be if you feel the other party handled the transaction well, and was friendly and the like, then you vouch for them. No need for 2 separate vouches imo.

 

Pointless, vouches are used as an indicator of trust. After a trade someone can leave feedback on your customer service as well.

For things like gfx you can quote comments on your thread.

 

Yes, and that's how it currently is. I suppose a separate vouch page isn't what I'm aiming for, because I can see that being confusing. But more of a "feedback" thread for everyone who pleases to have one. I just want to improve in general, and I can see that being helpful.

Yes. I want to leave "those" vouches alone. I have kind of changed my mind, and instead of a separate vouch page, a feedback page would be more suitable.

Sure you can quote those things on your thread, but when you're done with that thread it would be a lot more messy having to grab those gfx vouches to another one. I'd much rather have it all in one place.

 

Don't see the point in this tbh. Because usually you can only give someone feedback after you've did some kind of transaction with him. That transaction will most likely be one for which you can leave a vouch for.
So you would post on his vouchthread anyway.

 

Yes. I just think that a feedback forum would help people out, not everyone on this forum is here for sales. I myself just wants to grow as a person and would like feedback on things I say.

But as responses thus far has been negative towards this, I suppose this isn't the way to go in implementing such feature.

Exactly, just a new forum like "feedback forum", where regular Sythe members can have their own thread instead of just mods/admins.

I agree, a vouch should come as 1. If the buyer/seller was helpful, quick and traded without problems; a vouch should be given. Otherwise, one shouldn't be.

 

So a forum purely for self satisfaction? It serves no purpose.
