Religion subsection in SFA

It feels kind of awkward discussing topics related to religion in the SFA, especially since 99% of the time our replies, arguments, and even the OP itself go against the section's rules.
Wouldn't it be better if there was a separate section specifically for religion? The restrictions for the topics of discussion could be more lenient, but there would have to be a strict anti-bashing policy.



Thoughts?

 

I don't believe there are enough threads about religion to deserve a sub-section. Perhaps clarifying the section's rules instead would be a better idea?

 

Hell no.
There aren't enough threads in SFA as it is, making a sub would kill it. Also making a section for religion would cause ridiculous and pointless arguments.

 

Well, maybe not just religion, but things relating to God, metaphysics, philosophy, etc. Those pop up pretty frequently. I also get the feeling many people would like to discuss those sorts of things, but perhaps they don't for fearing of being shot down by the rigid SFA rules and customs.

I think the rules in the SFA are fine as they are. Maybe "religion" wouldn't be a very apt title for a subsection. That was just the last thing I was thinking of after replying to a thread in the section.

 

I don't really like discussing religion anyway, nothing good comes from it usually.

 

I don't really like sports, so I don't post in the sports/outdoors section...

 

I'd rather us not dilute the section anymore than it already is.

really should allow all discussion to be had religion or not.
