Middleman Scammed by Imposter

Explanation of the trade: I needed a middleman to transfer 1000m rs3 for $150 via btc
How they scammed: declined to refund me once the buyer decided "to no longer buy 1000m because his mate wants 2b" both members left skype conversation after declined trade

im not sure if he is but i almost used him once until i realised that the buyer was imposter scamming trying to be this mod but with his own account ... Check your self if all the ID's were the same
In my case the buyer left the group and the "Mod"(the imposter guy then added us again saying he can take the gold now ) then i realised that the guy on the group and Andy the one i added had different discord ID's

 

it was all done through skype

 

I would say you were impostor scammed, but I think it more likely you're someone out for retaliation on a mod.

Either way, my Skype profile doesn't have a avatar. And I pm'd you with a screen shot of our conversation showing who you should've been talking to.

I said in my pm that the trade was 1b osrs for $850, you traded for 1b rs3 for $150.

I also told you to post on my MM thread. I state that I MM for people who post on my thread in my TOS. That should've been another clue.

I sent you a PM with all the components of the trade as we had discussed thus far, my TOS state that you have to post on the thread, and my skype avatar doesn't match.

Only part I can't explain is the skype id looks right. Maybe there's a substitution or it's edited.

Anyway, if you were legitimately scammed, I'm sorry for your loss.

yes i was legitimately scammed, and i appreciate your sympathy if theres any sort of genuiness behind it. ill just add it to my debt

 

Yeah, I say in my signature to always pm me before any trades. Unfortunately there's no possible way for me to protect you from a impostor scam if you don't pm me or post on my MM thread or contact me in some form on Sythe to let me know you think you're trading with me.

Skype live:luxurious_deluxe is a known imposter of many (Including an attempt to imposter me, wortel etc). They usually start a group chat after a simple confirmation and add a fake 3rd party into it. Examples of this skype being used on banned accounts:
