I see no reason to inhibit their awareness and knowledge pertaining to all kinds of trades. The more educated individuals are in regards to trades, how to trade and the risks associated, only then we can aim to hope for less users being scammed, and and increase in the amount of 'successful' trades. Educating the community reels only positive results, and it would be hubris to assume that everyone can self learn, more so, have the want to self-learn. Thus, I support.
I feel a guide rather than a sticky would be best for this as overall I want to get rid of & update a lot of the stickies sometime after xmas when I have more free time
I wrote this guide a while back when I was applying for UE and it seems to cover most topics. Granted there are a lot more different types of trades happening now but it's pretty basic, hold onto an item that can't be taken back (i.e. RSGP / Account) and wait for the other person to make the transaction, and have them both confirm it occured before giving the goods to the buyer.
