I've posted a few progress threads on Sythe before to experiment with different builds. While I did get decently far on those accounts, I eventually got bored of having to limit myself in different ways. I've recently started playing on a main account and now want to experience the full amount of content that the game has to offer, something that I haven't really done properly in OSRS.

I originally started this account intending to use it as a maxed staker and gave up halfway through, but since returning to play on it back in January 2016, I've trained it up from ~500 total level to where it is now. There's still a lot of goals that I have for this account and hopefully I'll be able to stick to them. I'm making this thread mainly as a way to track my own progress and keep myself motivated, but any input, comments, or questions you guys may have are welcome as well. Hoping to update this every few weeks or so.

Goals

The three main goals that I have for this account are a quest cape, 99 slayer, and 2000 total. Later down the road I'm also hoping to complete all of the elite diaries, but I still have quite a ways to go for any of these.

Now aiming to max out eventually.

Updates

7/2/17: Finished off 99 FM at Wintertodt, took a little under 500 kc from 75. Sadly no pet



I then did a bit of afk wcing to round out the stat at 80:



And then got a few easy levels to finally finish off 2k total. This was one of the main goals I had when originally starting this thread and a big milestone in general, glad I was able to make it this far.





Not sure what I'll be doing next. I really should start training slayer again, I've heard that the efficient rate might be upwards of 100k xp/hr now..




Previous Updates

Started this thread today. I think what I'm going to be doing first is leveling up my hunter to ~50 so that I can use Tears of Guthix to get rc xp instead. After that I'll knock out all of the easy diaries, and then probably go back to slayer. Looking to level that first because I know that the upcoming quest has a slayer requirement.

Spoiler: 4/20/16

First thing I did was to level up my Hunter. Got it to 47 for now for the med diary requirement. Falconry was such a pain, glad I'm done with it.




Next I decided it would be a good idea to craft a bunch of slayer rings, which also meant that I needed to get 75 crafting. Made 100 of them, not sure how long they will last me.




I then ended up knocking out all of the easy diaries. Only a few more stat and quest requirements until I can also do all of the medium ones, so that will probably be next on my plate. Used all of the lamps on RC, which got me close to 48, so I quickly finished up that level too (no screenshot for that, not sure why):




Afterwards, decided to level up my FM to 60. Looking to get all of my stats to 60+ then eventually 70+.




Got pretty lucky with my Kingdom and got the remaining two spirit seeds I needed in a few days' worth of nests. Planted one in Etceteria (kind of a useless location, but I thought it would be cool to have all of them unlocked), and still have the fourth one for when I go to Zeah. This also meant that I could switch my workers from maples to coal, so I now have 10 on coal and 5 on herbs, which I think is the most profitable setting.

Currently working on getting my fishing up to 62 for both a quest cape and boostable diary requirement. Got 1600 total and decided it would be a good point to update.

Spoiler: 5/4/16

I first finished up leveling my fishing. I was originally planning on stopping at 62 for the quest cape requirement, but decided to just get 63 instead so that I can also boost for the fishing guild hard clues. It was a good idea; I ended up getting a bunch of those.




After that I had some pretty insane luck, ended up getting ranger boots and a whip from two of those drop parties that Ice Poseidon had (no pictures, sadly), and then also got a visage from my first wyverns task on the 5th kill:





This motivated me to continue slaying which I did until 79, also getting a surprising amount of range levels just from the cannon:




Then I finally decided that it would be a good idea to finish up the MM2 requirements. Hunter was pretty painful, I started out at orange salamanders thinking that it would be a lot better than falconry. Found that the xp rates that I was getting weren't that great so I actually went back to falconry. Did that until 59 and then moved to red sallys for the last level:




Was hoping to get my thieving level up to at least 70 because the J-mods had hinted that having a high thieving would be beneficial for the quest, but I don't really have that much time to level it up further (just got this level today) =| :




Also finished up the last two quests that I needed (Enlightened Journey and Watchtower), unlocked the Grand Tree balloon, and got all 7 greegrees in preparation for tomorrow. Forgot that OSBuddy doesn't save quest completion pictures

This was kind of a small update because I was mainly grinding out slayer. Hopefully the next one will be pretty big depending on how the rewards from MM2 are. Thanks for reading.

Spoiler: 5/26/16

The last time I updated was right before MM2 was scheduled to be released, but it ended up being delayed by a day so I took the time to level up my thieving some more. Got to 63 before the quest went live and didn't have any problems with any of the traps or obstacles when doing it, so maybe the extra training was worth it:




The quest itself was pretty enjoyable with the exception of the shipyard, where I kept forgetting which paths I had already taken. Used the 100k xp reward to get my magic from 70->72.




After that I continued leveling up Slayer, and once I hit 80 and got my first nechryaels task, I decided to get 200 qp to unlock my fourth block.




Also got 50 rc from doing Tears of Guthix, which now puts me at 50+ for every stat:




When I hit 85 slayer, I skipped tasks until I was assigned abby demons just to try and get my first whip. I ended up getting it on my second task, and also got a shield left half. Does anyone know exactly how rare those are? I know the rate's at least 1/4352:

And then probably the biggest part of the update, a kraken pet at 200 kc. I originally thought that someone else with the pet had logged under me at first Hopefully the first of many.




There were also some other small things I did that I didn't include like getting the soul bearer, imbuing a few rings, and other rare drops. Thanks for reading.

Decided to just get 99 prayer out of the way because I knew I'd be getting it eventually and having it now will help with Slayer/99 mage:




When the new Slayer dungeon came out and everyone was talking about the new slayer rates for barraging dust devils/nechs/abby demons, I decided to level up my magic. Originally was aiming for 94 but just got 85 for now. I know that barraging there isn't that great from a macro perspective since you're losing out on a lot of melee experience, but my primary concern is slayer xp and I don't really care about xp past 99, so I'll probably end up finishing up mage soon:

Spoiler: 7/10/16

I was originally planning on knocking out all of the skill requirements for Master clues. Got these before they announced that it would be released two days later, at which point I gave up






I did take advantage of some of the clue hype to get some other requirements done that would be a pain to do alone though, like 100% Arceuus favor (took ~2 hours) and the Angler outfit (took ~6 hours). Also completed all of the god books for fairly cheap after the pages crashed a little.

Also started doing hard clues again in the hopes of getting a new unique and so I can unlock the new emote (requires the completion of 300 hard clues). Got 2 new items so far:

Sold for 4.5M
Sold for 650K


I then finished up 99 Fletching, having got a lot of levels from leeching Fishing Trawler earlier.




Went back to Slayer after that and got 92 (halfway to 99!). I'll be getting 93 then stopping to get 94 mage and level up a few of my noncombat skills before going back to the grind.

Also did all of the medium diaries and Morytania hard for lumberjack. Will be doing a bit of slayer and then getting the quest cape and finishing all of the hard diaries.

12/26: Went ahead and finished off 94 Slayer, will be stopping here for now. Also got 95 range:






Then decided to skill for a bit, got 84 craft so I can make black d'hide bodies when I feel like training it again:




After that I ended up selling my slayer tab so I could fund some more buyables, here's what it looked like before I did that (sold everything for ~95M):




Also did Death to the Dorgeshuun so I could trade in my long/curved bones, got ~65K con xp from that.

I then went to Wintertodt until 90 FM, also getting 71 wc and some spirit seeds along the way. Not sure if I'll be staying here to 99 or the full pyro set (got 2 pieces so far, with 4x warm gloves, 2x torches, and 1x tome), or just do redwoods to 99.






I think I'll be aiming to complete all of the quests now (finally), been putting it off for a long time...

Spoiler: 2/9/17

After the last update, I decided to just finish getting the full Pyromancer outfit (or getting 99 FM at Wintertodt, whichever came first), and ended up completing the set at 315 kc. The drop rate is ~1/150 and I probably averaged ~2.4 rolls per crate, so I guess that was a little unlucky.



I was also pretty close to getting some levels so I just stayed for a bit longer:





After that, I got the urge to build out a nice POH and grinded out Construction until level 92 (also getting 1900 total along the way), at which point I could comfortably boost to build everything I would need for PVMing. I think the only thing left to build that I currently can't is the marble cape rack.





Now that AHK is banned though, I don't know how I'm going to finish off getting 99... I really should have just gotten the rest of the levels at the same time.

Finally, got 60 RC and all skills 60+:

I wanted to knock a few more items off my checklist, so I first went to NMZ and imbued the rest of my rings, I think it only took me a little over an hour for the ~2M points I needed.

After that, I did a bit of slayer and actually got an abyssal head (1/6000 drop rate):



Also got some random elite diary skill requirements out of the way:





Then, I finally finished up getting the quest cape and completing all of the miniquests. Long overdue, but I'm glad it's finally done:

Spoiler: 4/22/17

I first finished off a few miscellaneous requirements for the hard diaries. Still have 3 left to do, but am fairly close to the skill requirements needed (70 mining and 75 thieving):








I then got 94 magic in order to speed up slayer a bit (as I can now barrage tasks in the catacombs). Bursted most of the xp but ran out of chaos runes so finished it up through string amulet:




Reached a few milestones of 500 task streak and 100 hard clues:

I think for now I'll be taking a small break from Slayer and working on completing the Lumby elite diary for the extra block. I won't have the points to sustain my current block/skip list to 99 otherwise.

Spoiler: 5/31/17

Pretty small update as I was busy with final exams and am only recently finding the time to play again. I just got the levels to complete all of the hard diaries (and parts of the elite diaries):





Used all of the xp lamp rewards towards RC. I still need to get 5 more levels to be able to boost to complete the Lumby elite diary, but really am not looking forward to training the skill. I think 60% (or even more) of my total xp in RC has come from lamps lol



I think for now I'm going to be finishing off 99 FM as I'm really close. After that I'll probably level up various skills to get to 2k total. Also just noticed that I haven't raised my herblore level at all since I started this thread, that will be a few easy levels.

I was disappointed when you decided to stop working on the ranged tank since you always make the best progress threads. Hopefully you reach your goal for this one. Good luck!

 

Thanks Yeah, I was hoping to progress a lot further on that ranged tank but ended up wanting to focus on just one account. I think that leveling up a main will be a better investment of my time as I'm mainly looking towards end-game/high-level content.

Small update - did a bunch of slayer and finished up the requirements for MM2. Excited for tomorrow!

Thanks guys. I encourage you all to post progress threads of your own if you're playing consistently; it would be cool to see what everyone else is up to.

I remember seeing a thread a while back where someone had killed 15k wyverns without a visage. Not to demotivate you or anything Have you been camping them?

Most of the melee stats were botted when I first started the account, but apart from that everything is being done by hand.

I used to have a thread for a range tank but stopped playing that account in favor of this one. I've now sold that account so I probably won't be starting another one, but I might look into making a voider/zerker in the future.

99 slayer is definitely my top priority, but the way that I'm training it (cannoning most of my tasks and skipping the inefficient ones) will actually net me a loss. I'll also probably look to imbue my helm and unlock all six blocks soon which will require me to get a quest cape and complete the lumby elite diary.

I'm actually finding slayer not that bad to grind out, probably because I'm moving around so much.

 

Such nice slayer tab wow man !! I am going to make my own now I will sell the tab every level but collect it for fun! Enjoy the game man!
