Another thread layout I made. I'm quite happy with this one. What would you change/improve?

make it so the font isnt cut off

 

Pretty solid design. You have good taste in your gfx work which is essential for any gfx designer. I would try to get a better quality render tho.

 

That's why I prefer png layouts over gifs ^^

 

Not sure if you know but you're able to slice each section so that one part is GIF and the other is .PNG to retain quality in crucial areas - i can send you an example in PM/discord if you're curious

as for constructive criticism i think the c4d text rendering is very clean however the light source is super glaring on the letter C above all else, perhaps toning down the lighting a bit so that it's a bit more evenly distributed

i'm not a huge fan of the lighting effects being cut-off where you can see the canvas border

and your layer style bevel/emboss seems a bit TOO sharp, but the shape is unique and pretty interesting my man, keep it up.

Hi Omniii. Thanks for the constructive criticism! I've never tried cutting it off in two different formats. But I can imagine it would look a little bit weird since gifs only support so many colors.

For the lightning I totally agree!
