Merchanting Problems

Hey ive noticed that obviously, the best money making method on runescape is merchanting.

The only issue i personally have is getting started.

I know in merchanting you need money to make money thats just how it is, but are there any guides/websites which show good methods of merchanting and are there any good clans out there which are good at manipulating prices?

You will have to specify what info you are looking for, as there are alot more kinds of merching than people think.

what type of merchanting do you mean?
flip?
clan?

Anything that works to be honest im willing to learn different methods of merchanting and such.

 

I'd also like to know how, or at least get some tips on how to flip merchant.

Its a community based around merchanting (legit merchanting, not price manipulation). You need at least 10m to do this effectively, but this is the best way to reach 100m. Once you hit around there your going to want to find a friend who will help you out with price manipulation stuff, or just buy into plznate's stock.

But anyway check out that site. Merchanting has skill to it, but most of it is learned through experimenting. It is based around the regular wave patterns that many grand exchange items go through. For example, look at Super Restore Potion (4). You will notice the graph goes up then down and repeats itself. The objetive is to buy it when it's falling, and sell it as it's rising. (When it's falling, say the market price is 13.5k, it probably buys in the ge for around 13.2k. When its rising, say the market price is 13.5k, it probably sells in the ge for around 13.8k). That is the basics of merchanting, or at least legit merchanting.

Well you could try flipping which is just the old method of buying low selling high that was employed before the G.E., you could try a public merch clan but be advised most will screw you over.

By far the best way to merch is with a private group of friends/associates, you guys buyout all of the stock of one item and watch it go up to 3x+ the original price and you guys just dump it. You make the most money with this kind of merching, the downside is if you have no gp to start out almost no one will want to let you in to the buyouts.

Stay away from treasure trails.

 

You need to have at least a couple hundred million gp to do this, if not billions...

Your best bet is single item flipping. Invest a bunch of cash in one item, buy it below med and sell at/over med the next day.
