membership price increase

thats pretty expensive. remember membership costing like 4.9€ when i used to pay for it with irl money.

 

It might sway more people into buying through gold sites rather than purchasing bonds. But on the other hand we will also lose players who may currently RWT who are not happy with the new membership cost.

 

I can see bond prices rising ingame by that too then? Time to stack up some

 

Not a good idea right now. There haven't been any game-changing updates in quite a while to make the rise in cost justifiable. Possibly if they do the wilderness update and it's good then it might be.

p.s I also remember when membership was $5 USD a month, seems like forever ago.

 

There has been a lot of inflation so this is probably equivalent to beforehand. What I think they should actually do is do some microtransactions that are cosmetic only, which could have the potential of making membership much less costly or even making the game completely F2P, this could be done through having certain recolors that you could only get through microtranscations.

 

The price of bonds has gone up so much because of this as well. I remember when RS3 bonds where like ~30m, and now they're upwards of ~70m

 

I remember you could go to the store and buy a one month gift card for $7.95. It is crazy to see the price has almost doubled since I was younger

To stay on topic, I don't think MTX will ever see Osrs due to the outrage.
I Personally do not mind the increase that much but can see it could be something of an issue for others, think it was bound to happen anyways nonetheless whether inflation was a thing or not.
