Members List/search disabled

I went to search a member just a minute ago to search for a particular member and I get this wonderful blank white screen that crushed my dreams. This is what it said:

" Memberlist search disabled due to abuse "

I don't understand this.. First off I don't see how it was "abused", Second is why does it say "Members List" at the top if it's disabled?

 

I believe I read somewhere, that it was removed because it implemented a insecurity to the security of the site(or something along those lines).

And The reason its still at the top is because Its not been removed from the vBulletin Theme.

However, if you want to search for a user, I recommend:
1.)Go to Google.
2.)Type in username of Sythe Member, followed with "site:www.sythe.org", without the speechmarks,

This tells Google to Search for the keywords specifically at this domain.
