I don't know anything about international med schools. I'm referring to only US schools. You're probably right about international schools, but getting into a good med school in the US is very difficult.... Also, most people who go from the US to another country to study(more often than not) are taking the easy way out. I know someone who went to Afghanistan or it could have been Pakistan, anyways, he went because he felt getting a degree would be easier there, which it definitely is. However in the long run, the education and training you get here is far better.....

I wouldn't risk it with the way the economy is going right now. You could get out and not even be able to find a decent job, or at least not a position that's paying more than what you would make with a bachelor's degree or something. Is there anyway you can start by getting a different degree and also gain credits that would go toward the time you would spend getting your M.D? You might get started in it then decide you want to switch, and then you already have all the credits you need and don't have to waste extra time.

What makes you say that the need for Medical Doctors or even specialists will decline that doesn't apply to every other job? I would think that a M.D. would have an easier time than a pharmacist or someone with a straight up B.S.

Also I'm working toward a B.S. in either Biochemistry or Microbio

    Thanks for the post :)

I say join the National Guard as a Medic get your training through that and go on to Medical school from there. You can pretty much be a full time student while in the Guard and only have to go to weekend drills once a month and half your college will be paid for.
