McDonald's no longer number one.

Thats crazy considering McDonalds has been around way longer

 

i would bet my life that mcdonalds makes more money though.

i happen to work at mcdonalds and the owners of the stores (they own 16+) make BANK.

while subway is sitting there getting sub-par costumers per hour, my store is selling hundreds of sandwhichs an hour.

 

im actually not surprised that it was subway that took the number one spot, its the only healthier option out of the bunch.

 

Will be a good thing though.

I'm glad its getting easier to eat relatively healthy and not cost a lot. Plus you can have a lot of flexibility with a sandwich as opposed to a burger or fried chicken, thus appealing to a larger customer base.

McDonalds still makes more money than Subway. The average McDonalds brings in about a million dollars of sales (might be profit but I doubt it, cant remember) per year.

I work at a Subway, and we make about 10-15 grand a week.

 

I agree, but you have to admit Subway is way healthier.

Oh, I'm not arguing that. I tell that to people every single day.

Subway definitely is healthy, relatively speaking. However, Subway isn't AS healthy as people believe. All of the meats are highly processed, and the bread is pretty unhealthy too. The wheat bread has the same exact nutritional value as white bread, which shouldn't happen, for example.

There are some things at Subway that I refuse to eat.. for example, the ham. When you're preparing the ham, and open the package, there's such a foul smell that comes out, it turns me off from ever eating ham, period. Same goes for the chicken. Ever wonder how ever single chicken breast is shaped in the exact same size/shape? It's ground up chicken that's reshaped into a "breast' shape. Oh, and those grill marks? They're artificially added, it even says so on the box. Oh, and this one is my favorite.. 70% of the Swiss cheese we get doesn't even have holes in it.

I would say the healthiest thing at Subway is the tuna, because it comes in cans/bags, just like you would eat at home, but the amount of mayonnaise we add to the tuna is obscene, plus the fact that most customers ask for MORE mayo makes it unhealthy.

If you're going to eat healthy at Subway, my advice is to load up on veggies. The meats/cheeses are heavily processed, and are loaded with sodium. They're insanely healthy compared to McDonalds, but you can do way better than that.

Bottom line though, Subway IS the healthiest fast food chain, no doubt about it. I'd hope so too, since I eat there 4 times a week (During work, don't get a lunch break, and I'm not gonna go 8-9 hours without eating).

McDonalds is shit anyways. I'd much rather see ANY other fast food chain beat them for #1.

 

I always say the same thing, yet sadly the munchies keep me coming back for more. =/

 

McDonald's still makes more money than subway. Though, I love subway more than McDonald's. It's healthy and I find it even more tastier than McDonald's.

At the Melbourne airport, there are probably 20 fast food restaurants trying to get customers.

Half the customers were lining up at McDonalds.
The other quarter were eating it.

subway is horrible, mackys for the fattys all the way!
