I paid ShootinnStar to do various task's on my account in which he assigned the worker @MB, MB did several things on my account and seemed like a nice guy, Never took stuff off my accounts and always worked with me so i could get some playtime in between his training.

Last night i was doing zulrah and raids on my account so i transferred 2B in items to my account, I then asked if i would have to transfer it off by @mb, He said no i wouldn't need too as they usually just screenshot the bank so they know nothing is missing.

I though id post on the discord ticket and say i was intending on doing this whilst tagging shootinnStar, I had no response but his worker @MB said it was fine so i left it on the account.

Woke up this morning standing in lummy bank with everything transferred off. 2.1b gone,

So then i contacted everyone on the ticket on discord, It is here that i saw Kaeser had said it was against TOS 4 hours after i had asked if it was ok. It was almost 2am when i asked.

So i talked to Kaeser and Shootinnstar, They are saying i broke the TOS by leaving wealth on and talking via PM even though their worker PM'd me.

So here's my thoughts on the issue:

I asked for permission in the discord to leave wealth on the account, The worker @MB said it was ok. No one responded for 4 hours to tell me this was not allowed. By this time i had already gone to bed. They are saying they are not responsible for the scam and will not refund.

Their worker @MB said it was ok, They failed to intervene even after posting in the proper place which led to me being scammed for 2B.

ShootinnStar has been hostile and Kaesers message 4 hours later was:

I believe MB may have taken this as he should clear the GP off the account and then decided to scam.

Well, first of all you clearly broke 2 TOS rules. Why would you even trust a worker with 2B in the first place?

We couldn’t respond to you because it was like you said midnight.

I think its kind of a bad excuse to ask for your refund back and using the excuse “yeah no one responded to me so i guess its ok to listen to a worker” Definitely not suspicious at all.

For the staff that wants to know he broke the TOS:

11. You are only allowed to have a supplies on the account for the service to the amount of 30M, anything past that will not be possible to be refunded, a second reminder all bank wealth must be behind a pin, we do not cover untradeables please make sure you have a pin!

What are you on about suspicious? The dude worked on my account for a month on the ironman. I said multiple times in the ticket that there was DM's going on between us, You never once picked up on that? You never included the TOS in the ticket you leave it in your discord server as a way of hiding it from others.

He was your worker. I did what i was meant to do and asked through the ticket if it was ok. Your worker said it was and no one even responded to me until 4 hours later. If someone responded do you think i would have left the items on the account?

You aren't even responding about refunding the outstanding 180m you still have of mine for services. So that would bring the total to 2.28b scammed.

 

I'm happy to share the entire ticket.
This includes where he was "hacked" after buying an account then the original owner recovering it.

A worker may not change the TOS that is your decision not to wait for myself or @ShootinnStar
When you opened a ticket this was also mentioned

It seems you're pretty careless with your wealth considering the fact 2b+ is around 1200$+ depending on the seller/buyer.

Upload a transcript by all means, Yes the original Ironman i bought services for was hacked back by the OG, I then notified you guys to this and asked for the training to be done on my own account. This is an account i made back when RS3 was RS2 over 10 years ago. (If your trying to imply that i bought the account i was scammed on)

Can you confirm that MB has indeed scammed the gold? Can you also confirm you have deranked him in your discord? Can you also tell me if he was dealing with any other customers and if they have been affected by him?

Referencing your TOS but not actually including them in the ticket doesn't substantiate showing someone your terms of service. The onus is on you to ensure that your customers are aware of the ToS when starting a trade by providing to them and making sure they accept to them.

In order to use your service i must agree to your ToS? You wasn't able to have me agree to them, They can't be implied as they wasn't ever clearly provided, Only referenced too. That's my opinion anyway.

New sythe rules state that you have to have been sent the tos and agreed to them, simply having them in a discord does not automatically make you agree to them.

By opening a ticket i agreed to them? That's not how it works.

Before any work is completed where ToS is involved, The customer should be provided with the ToS on the ticket (It literally would only take you 2 seconds to do this) and then you would have them agree. Simply saying "If you click this you accept the ToS" doesn't meet the requirements set out when requiring someone to accept ToS.

That's my opinion, Ill await staff clarification.

I ask this because regardless of him being fired i wish to know if he has scammed others as it supports my case.

I just want to add that MB has not been online or messaged myself since my account was cleared. He has now been fired from ShootinnStar's work force.

I also think it's important to clarify that the total amount taken off the account was 2.1B (As shown in the pictures) and there is also 180m in services which was not completed due to him scamming which now i would want refunding (ShootinnStar says he needs to talk to a staff member about this?)

I currently feel like he is trying his best not to refund a single penny. That includes the 180m i am 100% undeniably eligible for.
He has requested the entire conversation history between me and MB which i provided. He seems to be quite short fused however is slow when answering my questions.

I would really appreciate a mod/staff members input on the validity of ToS when it was never presented or agreed to and to also tell me if will get my 2B back from ShootinnStar or not.

Yeah i agree, Im retarded as fuck for doing it. But hindsight is 20/20. It's done and it's happened.

My argument is that i know that had the ToS been given to me in the ticket and i was made to agree to it then i would have 100% not left the gold on the account, They don't display their workers deposit amounts and the dude had been there the entire time i was on the server and done some great work on accounts for me in the past. Due to me not knowing that there was a 30m limit i allowed him on the account with 2b on it.

I believe i too am partly responsible. That's why i'd happily accept half the money i lost. Fuck id just chuck it at the duel arena and hope i make it back, If not i quit and focus on other things.

Eitherway there's still the issue of 180m they owe me for services not provided.

I agree that it's a huge amount of money. But again, The ToS in my opinion is useless when i never agreed to it or was provided with it (As per Sythe rules).

Well im sorry that you have been scammed, but the reason why is you gave me the blame instantly and wanted me to repay you, you werent being very nice even though i felt bad for you this just wasnt my fault.

And you did agree to me, when you open a ticket you agree to the TOS.
This is how it works in our server, and in many others.

They cant just send you an email every time someone registers an account and make them force read it, truth is that you made a mistake and most people agree to it. But like I said previously, this wasn't on our fault. You instantly blamed us and our TOS system, you say you never agreed to our TOS but you did.

Before opening a ticket a message will be shown "By contacting us / opening a ticket you agree to tos"

And of course, what happened you opened multiple tickets / orders with us thus that makes you agree to the tos.

That makes 0 sense, all of the service providers have something like "By contacting me/us you agree to tos" Or something along those lines, even some staff have this tos implemented in their ToS, you cant just change that because you trusted someone with 2b and now you feel like your owed 2b for that amount.





What I think is that you didn't really make the smartest decisions that day, and when you got scammed for 2b you felt betrayed even though this is the internet you didn't expect him to scam you obviously. But you thought that even though the decision wasn't the smartest you could still get your money back by trying everything to do so, I think you never believed it was your own fault to begin with. If you felt that way we wouldn't be talking right now, coming back to you saying and I quote:

I can tell you that 90% of all sellers on the whole website have a "By contacting us you agree to ToS"

If your willing to complain about this please contact a staff member and tell all sellers on Sythe to change their ToS since i'm not the only one doing this.

Also I’m not trying to portray you in a bad light, I’m stating the facts, I’ve never once called you a scammer. All I have done is present my facts and my opinion on how it’s being dealt with. If people choose to draw an adverse inference from that then it is their own choice.

Again, The important fact of this matter is that YOUR worker SCAMMED me. You are responsible for the actions of your workers. And even if the amount scammed was lower I would have imagined you to have dealt with it better.

And just to touch on your point about the tos making 0 sense.

If someone provides a service but doesn’t directly link the TOS then how would someone know about what’s in them? You have referred to them, You have drawn inferences from them yet you haven’t directly asked me at any point if I agree to them, It’s easy for someone to overlook a post saying you agree to the tos by clicking here, But without direct agreement by posting the ToS to a customer you would never be sure as to weather or not they truly agree or have even read them.

I mean if anything it’s a method of protecting your customers, Making me read them then agreeing to them would have stopped me from leaving more than 30m on the account. By failing to clearly display them to me and making sure I have read and agreed to them by asking me to say I agree, this had led to me being scammed by one of your workers.

If I had accepted the ToS the normal thing to do would be to refund me any outstanding amounts and most places give the victim the deposit paid by the staff member who has scammed. You have done neither. But because you failed to safe guard your customer (me) and not made sure I read the ToS I believe you owe me what I have lost PLUS what I am still owed from services
